Watches NEWS
My first AP ROC
Hi guysI am new to the forum and starting my watch collection. I have been looking around the forum for a while and learn a lot of great things. I recent purchase my first AP from Katuya. I love the watch!!! The buying experience was great and Thanh was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely buy from him again.K
DC's last AP AD to close
Since we kind of discussed this on a separate Rolex thread I thought we might as well make it more broadly available.Lenkersdorfer (owned by Liljenquist & Beckstead) in Tyson's Corner has lost their AP AD status. From what I can tell, they are not even sure why as they had a really good placement in the store and I think they did a decent amount of business. Nor did they provide heavy discounts that undermine the brand, but still. The closest AP AD is now Govberg in Philadelphia, PA.Somehow I doubt that AP will open up a boutique in the DC area, but who knows that they are up to?
Tool watch owners ... When WON'T you wear your watch ?
So this question goes out to anyone who owns a Rolex they consider to be a tool watch. If you have a SubC, Explorer, ExplorerII, DSSD etc. is there a situation when you would not be happy wearing your watch ?Would you wear it to go climbing up a rock ? Snowboarding down the side of a big mountain ? White water Rafting ? Basically I'm asking even if you own a watch that is considered extremely rugged, when do you draw the line and say nope, not risking my Rolex on that.
Does this sound right?
Hello all first time poster I hang back in the weeds reading all the good information. I recently purchased a watch for my Dad and had to order it through Omega not a problem was told 4 weeks all good. Fast forward 5 weeks later the Omega rep is telling us now that it will be another 4 weeks but a shipment is coming from the factory in a week. However they can't or won't tell us if the watch is going to be included in the shipment. Huh? I feel like I'm on an island here maybe this is common or I'm just being a jerk customer? If anyone has had any experience like this help me not feel like Omega is putting the screws to me, lol. Thanks this board is amazing great info and great folks. BTW two Omega's in the collection 1966 Connie Pie Pan and a 40th Anniversay Bond watch.
