Seiko Astron GPS Solar Chronograph Limited Editions
In 2012, Seiko launched the Astron C the world's first watch able to receive GPS signals and, using an onboard database, convert those signals into precisely accurate time anywhere on Earth. Powered by the Sun, the Astron is always on time, even on top of a mountain or in the middle of the ocean. Here are the two newest models, including the first-ever for women. The Astron uses the incredibly precise signals from GPS satellites to stay right on time, and when you travel, it can adjust to the time in the new location using those signals. The original Astron was a bit bulky for some wrists, but in September this year, Seiko launched its new Caliber 8X82, which allowed for a 30% reduction in the size of the watch. The upgraded movement also allows Seiko to offer a wider range of dial colors for this solar-powered watch. Finally, the movement offers a more intuitive manual time zone selection. The first Astron for women features 10 diamonds on the dial.Seiko is launching two new model
42mm vs. 45.5mm PO
Does anyone have any wrist shot of the 42mm vs. the 45.5 mm PO? Since I bought my 41.5mm Great White I'm getting used to the smaller size. I was debating trading in the 45.5 for a 42, although this is just preliminary thinking. Thanks,Peter
Happy Birthday to ME; my first PP
After wearing and enjoying the fine products from Omega, Rolex, IWC and AP it was finally time to pull the trigger and enjoy this beauty from PP. I've been eyeing this model for about a year and came across a great opportunity. While I know the majority of the RF guys seem to prefer the tropical rubber strap, I find this particular PP stainless bracelet to be a work of art and fine craftsmanship. Let me know what you think. Thanks to all the RF'ers for all of the education to help me make this decision and acquisition!
Fake or Replica Rolex watches spotting remarks
Hello, I am new to Rolex watches world, and I am considering buying some Rolex watches pre-owned of course and I am thinking to start off with a date just or submariner I might ending buying both eventually!, and in order to make sure that I am buying the genuine one I am starting this thread to discuss all the possible spotting remarks that one should look for in order to verify whether the watch in hand is genuine or not, for example I read that for all Rolex watches old and new should have the second hand and I mean here the central main second hand reaching up to or cover the second indices, otherwise if it is shorter and failed to do so it will be a sure sign that we are looking at a fake Rolex watch, is this a solid fact or is there any models that have a short second hand that is far away from the second indices by 1 or 2 or 3mm.
Would you pay retail + tax on a Bruiser?
Hello, I have been looking for a GMT for a bit (couldn’t decide between Pepsi or BLNR). Today I went to my Local AD and he has a bruiser GMT New in the Box at retail + 8% tax. That watch is stunning and I think I prefer it over the Pepsi. Good deal?
