Interview: F.P. Journe On The New Women's lgante Line
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Mr. François-Paul Journe to discuss the brand's new line of Women's watches, Élégante, and it was awesome.First of all, I would like to preface this article by saying that I did not think I would like this collection. When I first heard that the watch has a quartz movement, I think I rolled my eyes. BUT to my great surprise, I was very impressed with the pieces in person and now I want one for myself. 1 OF 9 The watch is everything its name suggests – elegant. The trademarked flattened Tortue case comes in platinum, red gold, and titanium. The titanium version comes with or without diamonds, which is a refreshing choice to have. All of the watches come with a sporty rubber strap with folding clasp in six colors: white, rose, light blue, midnight blue, chocolate, and khaki green. It's On It's Way & I Couldn't Be Happier !
I've pulled the trigger on the new YG ROC Blue. I was able to source the watch in Europe as they seemed to have gotten the first deliveries. The watch being a new release is commanding high prices with discounts around the 15-20% in the US, not good enough for me. The EU AD happened to be losing its AP AD and offered me a 30% discount which includes the VAT refund plus payment by credit card so miles :). Should be on my wrist on Monday. Lots & lots of pics then. Here are some the AD sent me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Buying used Panerai watch..
Found a mint condition panerai I want. The seller is an authorized panerai dealer in US. They said the watch was originally sold by them as new, but I guess the original purchaser sold back to the dealer? The watch comes with triple boxes and papers. Serial numbers match between what's on the box, booklet, and watchSince this watch has solid caseback, I cannot see the movement. I asked the dealer to provide pictures of movement but they said they don't have tools to open the case. Also I asked them to provide an authenticity certificate, but they couldn't. They said I can't return it. So I am unsure if I should go ahead with the deal or not. What do you folks think? Should I go for the deal?
