Corum Admiral's Cup Deep Hull 48 Limited Edition Watch
It is big and it goes down pretty deep. It is also the first real diver's watch from Corum that I can think of (aside from a few dive style Corum Bubble watches). This is the new for 2010 Admiral's Cup Deep Hull 48 watch from Corum, and it is rather interesting, though I have some thoughts on it overall. The Admiral's Cup line has been very good to the brand, and over the last few years Corum has been refining it a lot. More models, lots of variety, and a furtherance of making them look more manly as opposed to colorful (which was the classic look with all the colored flags). Today's Admiral's Cup watches share very little in common with the originals. Here, the flags are barely still there in monochromatic glory. The real standout features of an Admiral's Cup watch is its 12 sided case and bezel. The Deep Hull 48 is in a 48mm wide titanium case, and is actually weighty for titanium. It is after all, a large watch. The case comes in either brushed titanium or in PVD black coated titaniu
Wanted, leather band for Breitling Navitimer
Hi EveryoneMy father had an old Gen II Breitling Navitimer he boughtin Hong Kong in the late 50's or early 60's. He gave it to me years ago as he quit flying, didn't wear it and it was beaten.I had it cleaned up and and it looks great! I bought the rubber Breitling band for it as I wanted somethingquick at its nice BUT I really would like to get a nice leatherband with a deployment clasp and stitching on the sides. As the watch is main dial is black and the sub dials are a creamcolor Id like a black leather band and was thinking like a creamthread....Where can I get something like this made?I had a great website I found a couple mths ago and now for the lifeof me I can't find it!Thanks!PS Id love to hear any suggestions if you have better color ideas.
Silly Patek AD question
I am traveling to NYC and Denver during the next couple months. I live in another state. I was wondering, in the experience of the members here, will a Patek AD let me buy a watch in their store and I could avoid sales tax since I live in another state? Or are you just outta luck? Thanks! New policy to remove the films by Rolex AD
Since July first this year, when you purchase a new Rolex from ADs in Japan, along with the nice green box, green tag and manual you will also receive this message from Rolex Japan telling that if Rolex finds out you are a flipper or tenbai in Japanese term, your name will be blacklisted and Rolex Japan will not sell watches to that individual. Is this happening in other countries as well? The ADs also size your new Rolex as they take off the protection films to avoid being sold to grey dealers.
