Different price lag of Patek Philippe luxurious Watches in different years
Last year the watch pocket of Calibre 89 Patek Philippe in the famous collection of Matsuda was sold for $ 4.5 million. The 89 caliber which includes 33 complications was manufactured by Patek Philippe engineers for the 150th anniversary of the brand. The watch is featured not only a fantastic number of complications, but also by some other interesting features such as triple barrel spring and hidden room. The movement has 126 jewels and includes 1.278 parties. Among the most famous functions, there is perpetual calendar, split-seconds chronograph with counters 30 minutes and 12 hours, minute Repeater, compass, clock, and many others. In 2007, the Patek Philippe sky Moon Tourbillon was sold at Antiquorum for 1,240 million. The Patek Philippe sky Moon Tourbillon is not just a very wonderful timepiece, also it is one more product ever produced by the company Patek Philippe.
Galactic??
Thinking about getting the Galactic as a travel watch...Really like the look, but is it too flashy and therefore will draw attention to those less than desirable characters!????Also looked at the Avenger II GMT..nice, a bit less flashy, but sort of prefer the Galactic..Any comments??THANKS!!!
Omega Reference Number
Hi all,I am selling my 2001 Omega Speedmaster. Its a really nice watch, but I recently upgraded so its time to let my Speedmaster go. I've decided to do it locally so I don't have to hassle with shipping, plus I've never sold a watch before so I'm not a TS.I posted it on Craigslist. Respondent didn't ask for my Watch Number, but he asked me to give him the Reference Number. Is it safe to do so? Most of the watches I see for sale on this Forum block the (serial) numbers out. Thanks!
First Panerai coming tomorrow from DavidSW!!!
I'm so excited!!! I bought my first Rolex, a sub 114060 three months ago from an AD. I'm 46 and really enjoying my new hobby of watches, and have also really enjoyed this forum greatly! So I wanted to get a birth year watch to commemorate my sons birth in 2009, and decided on a 2009 PAM 028 L. As luck would have it, I had heard a lot about DavidSW, and he happened to have one on his website, in good condition for a fair price. So far, he has been a pleasure to deal with, and well deserves the respect he is accommodated on the Rolex forums!Anyways, I'll post pictures when I get it tomorrow, and if anyone has any strap recommendations, please let me know!Have a great night!
Where did all the Romans go on the Datejust?
So i have been out of the loop for a while now. I went to my local AD to check out some of the Datejusts with Roman numerals and found out there is only one in the current lineup. On a positive note they still have 2 in stock they have offered at a good price. One all steel for $6,000 116300BKRIO and the steel with fluted bezel for $8,000 116334BKRIO. Any thoughts on either?
