Is META Watch Pursuing A Patent On All Analog/Digital Dial Smartwatches?
META Watch was co-founded by Bill Geiser, who earned his watch industry stripes while working at Fossil. Whatever you might say about Fossil products, what you need to know is that it is run by some extremely smart and professional people out of its Dallas, Texas, headquarters. Geiser went on to be one of the earliest proponents of modern smart watches. According to him, he has been wearing a Bluetooth connected watch for about five years now C perhaps the only one wearing one for so long. Today, Bill Geiser is the CEO of META Watch that recently released the Frank Nuovo-designed M1 smartwatch collection (hands-on here, with interview). Frank Nuovo is a former head of design at Nokia and designed the M1 collection C which I thought was actually pretty interesting.Anyhow, even though META is putting considerable resources behind the M1 smartwatch collection, it is only the start of what Bill feels are a series of major evolutionary steps for the smartwatch industry. The new Breguet watch targets the audience that appreciates smart technique
All the functions are brought to life by a hand-wound Cal. 554.4 tourbillon movement, numbered and signed Breguet. Its balance-spring, escape-wheel and lever are made of silicon. Adorned with 28 jewels, the mechanism operates at a frequency of 3Hz and supplies a 50-hour power reserve. The new Breguet watch targets the audience that appreciates smart technique behind glamorous design.
Same Mindset as w/ a Rolex?
In the sense of natural scratches and swirls and whatnot? For many in the Rolex world, they still see them as tool watches. I do not agree. I see them as jewelry. However, I wear mine as if it is a too and I don't mind scratches if they are not too bad. I am pretty comfortable doing anything with it. I do realize that many freak out about scratching their Rolex watches, but many also don't. That said, with my new 5167, I am noticing that I am picking up some desk diving scratches and I have banged it once or twice. That is less than a week. I had zero problems with this with any of my Rolex watches. And truthfully, I think I don't care with this one either. But I am curious what this forum thinks. Do you guys baby your Patek? Do they get natural marks? Do they age with experience? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you,
Patek deep case scratch repair?
Does anybody know how patek repairs deep gold case scratches? I was told that they fill the deep scratches in with a laser gold technique and then buff it out.
