A Week On The Wrist: The Glashtte Original Senator Chronograph Panorama Date With Manufacture Caliber 37-01
The world of in-house, self-winding chronograph movements started out small in 1969 with the Breitling/Heuer/Buren Caliber 11, the Zenith El Primero, and the Seiko caliber 6139 and it coincided with the beginning of the quartz era, which did not exactly provide a lush financial environment for horological innovation (as we all know the Seiko caliber 6139 is long gone, as is the caliber 11 and if it weren’t for the fact that Rolex started using the El Primero in the Daytona in 1988, that might not be around either. Today it’s still a small group, at least in comparison to the number of brands offering automatic chronographs – aside from the ETA/Valjoux 7750 and its derivatives, which are so ubiquitous you have no choice but to call them that, there are a handful from makers like Breitling, Rolex, Seiko, TAG Heuer, and Omega, and Jaeger-LeCoultre, and it’s no coincidence that generally they come from manufacturers – or via manufacturers – who have the
Calling out for ap expert!
Hi this is my first post on this web..I'm in a bit of a dilemma and need help from u expert out here. I've recently got a budget available and I was so certain that my mind was made on a 5980 white dial at a unbelievably low price. This was until I stop by an ap store and saw a Schumacher ti. I know both are very different type of watch but I did fell in love with both of them in a different way. My judgement in the end would however come down to which of these model will retain price better. In my own experience Patek tend to hold its value very well but I have no knowledge on the le piece for audemar. Any opinion or advise would be greatly appreciated thank u
Stopped by the 57th St Boutique today...
I'm NYC on business I took the opportunity to swing by the Audemars Piguet boutique on 57th Street. The staff is very pleasant and I had a chance to spent 30 min with the watch maker showing me around. There are a lot of nice pieces in there that I can talk about but it was game over when I get to see the new 15202, aka Jumbo. At first one is a bit taken back how thin and light it is, which is of course because of the Cal 2121 movement, the thinnest automatic movement in the world with a center rotor. The movement is stunning through the display back. But what really makes this watch stand out is the dial. It is mesmerizing! Personally, I find the micro-tapisserie much more compelling than the regular tapisserie on the 15300/15400 or the mega-tapisserie on the Royal Oak Offshore line. The blue/grey color of the dial as a vintage vibe and I was told is ever so slightly different in each batch. To really finish off the vintage feel the Audemars Piguet name is printed directly on top of t
The Astronaut, the Shark & the Seamaster
Believe it or not, there is a Seamaster in these photos, but it is under the astronaut's sleeve. This guy is better known for wearing the Speedy Pro, but sharks don't like them as much.

I hv paid a deposit to an AD for a hulk which now they have been asking me to cancel the booking due to they don’t know when they will get one in. Is it legally they can do so? Or they have to deliver if I disagree to it if I don’t mind the wait?Anyone has encounter this before ? I assume it is a valid contract they must deliver. They offered to put a deposit and I accepted it.
