Chopard L.U.C XPS Poin?on de Gen��ve Watch Has Personality
When you create a limited edition watch of just 25 pieces in platinum you are basically creating a perfect "my timepiece is still cooler than yours" watch. Chopard's L.U.C XPS is a simple dress watch, but it is one of my favs, and in addition to having a sexy design it has a lot of horological bragging rights. Now that the piece has the Geneva Seal on it - that new tougher to get Geneva Seal - any watchianado can say, "screw your AP, this guy here was built in the canton of Geneva - and according to some prissy Swiss official, it has superlative bridge polishing. Had a chance to see the new PO
The new 42mm PO is very nice, should make for a great EDC piece. This will be a serious contender for me personally as I've moved off my new Rolex pieces for now and sticking to my vintage and semi-vintage ones. I think the MSRP for the regular black version on ss bracelet is something like $5,800. If anyone has good dealer connections on Omegas, please PM me.

5167 Update / Initial Thoughts
As a recent acquirer of this fine PP, I have to say that it's very comfortable. I own a few Rolex pieces including a SubC and the PP blows it away when it comes to comfort and wearability so far. It's like having a ghost of a watch on your wrist. Very lightweight and yet so polarizing with the dial color and legibility. Anyway, just my .02 for those on the proverbial fence.

Fellow Patek Enthusiasts,My name is George. I have been recently reading the Patek forum in anticipation of adding a Patek. I have seen many of your great pieces, and appreciate your vast collective knowledge of Patek. I am wondering if you could offer me your brief advice on my potential purchase(s) based on the following summary.I live a fairly casual lifestyle. I own my own company, and rarely dress formally ( rare charity events, weddings and funerals). I have many watches, but seem to wear my Rolex DeepSea the most as it seems to fit my lifestyle. The Pateks that I'm drawn to are the 5167A, 5130G/P, and of course the 5270 and it's predecessors in J/R. I have never spent more than 10K for a watch, so this is new territory for me. I don't view myself as a potential collector. I intend to buy what I love, and what I will wear. Thinking of surprising her with her very first Rolex.Only watch I really like is a Rose Gold two tone Turn o graph w. white dial.This watch has been discontinued but ive been searching online and have managed to find a reasonably priced one on chrono24Any other suggestions.
