Watches NEWS
Let's See some (Non-Royal Oak) AP's!
The Audemars Piquet section of these forums is stacked heavily towards the Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore models. I'm also a big fan of the Royal Oak watches (and have a 15400).My other AP, which I just got locally used (price too low to refuse), is an Edward Piguet in stainless steel (15015ST-0-0001VS-01). I estimate from the serial number (E-12xxx) that this watch was produced sometime in 1999.So, let's see some photos of your non-Royal Oak AP's!
Got my new PO 8500!!!
Dollar for dollar I think this watch is right there with the best of them if you consider what you're getting for your money spent. The weight, feel, aesthetics, movement all just work so well.I got the 45.5mm and man does it wear nice! .The toned down ceramic bezel has a greyish look and goes perfect with the black dial. The watch just feels sporty and wants to be worn.Enough rambling....Big shout out to my friend DavidSW for taking care of me as always! Also to Charles (SaddleSC) who gave great feedback during my decision.
Does all D serie Datejust 116200 have inner bezel engraved ?
I happen to find one with paper, tag, but without boxes. The watch doesn't have the inner bezel engraving, should all D serie Datejust have an engraving ?
Insurance in UK
Hi everyone, Seeking a home insurance in the UK that would cover my Smurf. I have currently AVIVA however they will only cover the watch if it is in the same room I am in. (i.e. cannot leave the watch out of sight)thanks
Rolex Service sends a nice kit to send your watch
I called Rolex Service NY on Tuesday to request a kit to send my watch in for service. After a 5 minute hold, I just provided my mailing address. Today I received the kit.The box came in a Tyvek envelope:Inside was a box containing mailing supplies....brown tape, USPS Registered mail sticker and form, a return label with Rolex address pre-printed, and an instruction pamphlet:Underneath all the mailing supplies is a thick foam layer to place the watch being returned:The mailing instructions contain a form to fill out to return with the watch:The foam has a round section that separates from the base. The watch goes around the foam and then sits well protected inside the foam layer:The box has gummed flaps that are used to seal the box up once closed....nice touch:My watch is now sealed up and ready for registered mail service. I would say this is a much better setup than anything I would have put together to send in a watch for service. The kit took 3 days to get to me, cost me nothing
