15202 vs 15450
Hello AP lovers,I am a fan of the 15202ST despite not having tried one on the wrist, however I am wondering if the more modern alternative 15450 is a better option to purchase. The case proportions of the 15450 are very close to the classic 39mm 15202 but with the added benefits of the 3120 in-house movement, added power reserve and lower price point.I would like to own an AP Royal Oak at some point so would love to hear your thoughts. I have tried on the 15400ST but the size is too big for me so my options are 15202 or 15450.Thanks!
Would my Warranty Cover Broken Stitches on Leather Loop?
Guys, My 8 months old Safari has problem due to broken Stitches on the leather loop....would the AP Service Center cover this under warranty?Anybody has experience before?Regards,Sent from my SM-N920K using Tapatalk
Last night I attended Inside Basel
It was hosted by Watchtime and sponsored by BMW. The only problem is that AUDEMARS PIGUET didn't show up! It's the only reason I went. I was so disappointed. Watchtime advertised that AP would be there and they no show! I spoke with the event coordinator because I thought maybe I was missing something but I wasn't. They said AP no showed because of an event they we're having in Miami.
Omega Speedmaster 50 Christie's Auction
So, I am sure that most of you are aware of the December 15 auction to take place at Christies in NYC (.christies/salelanding...ntSaleID=25971 ). Of course, I fully understand that the die hard fans are worried that this type of sale will keep driving the prices up further, and thus will make more and more of these pieces out of our reach (i.e., the true fans who do not have unlimited means), but this is in my opinion a fact of life resulting from the general public having more and more access to expert information via blogs, forums etc. The people who were lucky enough to buy watches at a bargain price a few years/months ago should just feel that, LUCKY, and newcomers like myself will just keep hoping that the prices will remain reasonable for a bit longer and that true fans and enthusiasts will be able to enjoy nice pieces not only because they can simply afford them, but because they enjoy them for what they represent in terms of history and mechanical prowess in watchmaking. 5575 vs 5975
Which model do you guys prefer and why? The complications on either model aren't exceedingly useful in the modern world so I assume the choice comes down to aesthetics and perceived collectibility. In fact, the legibility of the 5575 is such that it's probably an impractical watch in most circumstances. I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on this and their rationale.
