Raven Deep Tech Review
When last we took a look at Raven Watches, they had just released two interesting models; the Raven Vintage and the Raven Deep. The Vintage was an homage to the Rolex Submariner ref. 6538, famously worn by Sean Connery as James Bond in Dr. No, that utilized a domed acrylic crystal, gilt hands and other specific details to make for a very fun watch. The Raven Deep took elements of various historical models, such as the 6538 and the 5517 mil-sub, and mixed them together to create a cool chimera with a high water resistance at 4000ft or 1220m. Between the two watches, there was a lot to like, including great build quality, exceptional lume and fairly tame prices.Following up on these watches, they have now released the Raven Deep Tech, which builds off the Deep model concept, for a new hybrid style with a massive 8200ft/2500m water resistance. Greetings TRF members. Been a lurker for quite some time and have appreciated the opportunity to research and narrow down my search for the perfect 1st Rolex. My beautiful wife and I are currently in the Caribbean celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary when out of the blue this morning, she presents me with something nearly as beautiful as her, a gorgeous white faced DateJust II with fluted bezel on an oyster bracelet.My heart stopped and the tears welled up as I opened the present and realized what was before my eyes. The exact watch I have zeroed in on after much research with a beautiful wife/mother who continues to get joy from giving joy.Thankful to God for the perfect woman in my life who pays attention. Hi, a bit of a strange question but here goes.I have an opportunity to get a DSSD at a very good price, unfortunately I am a bit short of funds. I am looking at selling my Milgauss GV to seal the deal. Any places in London to sell it at a fair price ? As it's a spur of the moment sell, so no box or papers.Looked at Goldsmiths, but they appear a bit short of my expectations price wise. One Knightsbridge watch trader looked ok and they replied to my email with a fair offer, any other places I should try as well or avoid ? I tried internet searching but there appear to be dozens of second hand watch traders in London and I don't know which are ok or who I should avoid at all costs.If this breaks Forum rules / etiquette please PM me any details rather than post a reply.Best,Peter
