Watches NEWS
Just when you think you are done...you get dragged back in...
Just saw a RG Schumi at my AD. Retail is HK$614k (~US$79k). Given I recently bought a 44mm RG novelty from them about a month ago they offered me a 18% discount on the Schumi. I think I can get them down to 20% which will be ~HK$490k (~US$63k).Assuming I can sell the 44mm RG novelty for HK$290k (~US$37k), sell my panda ROO on bracelet for ~HK$100k (~US$13k), I would need to put in another HK$100k (~US$13k) to make the schumi purchase.Would you guys do this if you were me?
Can you identify this model...
I can't find a lot of info on this model anywhere on the watch, I bought it for it's 565 that I am converting but i don't know what this is?Any help or direction is appreciated!! thanks, guys
Why does Patek put Caliber 240 in watches that cost $20K and $200K...
Just wanted to bring one more perspective on the recent discussion why Patek uses the same 240 caliber in their simple Calatrava and the Sky-moon watch. Many complain that there should be a different movement in these watches. Why would Patek put a simple caliber in the more expensive watch...Well, you can also look at it from the other side. 240 Caliber is the expensive caliber. Patek could only offer it with the Sky-moon watch if they wanted and they could put something very simple and generic in the Calatrava line. Yet, they choose to put the same fancy 240 caliber in Calatrava watches so that we can have a chance to own something truly special and of the same top quality as the watch that costs hundreds of thousands dollars. Like someone pointed out, that what makes Patek a Patek and not another watch brand that can offer super complicated watches in their few limited editions and then make ETA stamped calibers for the other mortals. Patek watches are pieces of art and as such you
Which to use as a beater? 14060M or birth year 16570?
Hey guys.I recall asking this question before possibly. But can't locate the thread.Currently have two watches in my collection and offloaded the rest.Z serial 14060M 4 liner. Unpolished full kitBirth year (89) L serial 16570 with beautiful patina. Box and original warranty document.I work in the trades, mainly buying and flipping houses. I do the majority of the work myself. would like to use one as an every day beater i guess you would say.If you were me and these were your only two, which one would you wear daily for everything. and which would you wear sparingly? Have also contemplated purchasing a black bay 41 or an omega SMP. But when I'm not wearing one of my rolexes It causes me to just day dream about them all day haha (hope I'm not alone)Would love your opinion! CheersSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Serviced at the London RSC, away for 8 weeks. Back on my wrist yesterday. It's like getting a new watch for Christmas:
