Discussing DLC: Linde Werdelin Talks About The Hard Black Elemental Watch And Diamond Like Carbon Coating In General
You've probably seen at least something about DLC. You might not know what it is though, and the three letter term might go right past you. That's OK, because DLC is a relatively new addition to a watch maker's arsenal. Speaking with the very knowledgeable people at Linde Werdelin, I? recently have a new understanding of DLC, and am excited about Linde Werdelin's future incorporating the special coating on select lines of watches. Be aware that while DLC has many industrial applications, finicky watch makers demand only the highest grade materials and processes.DLC stands for "Diamond Like Carbon." Which is a bit confusing, as so many things are made from carbon, including diamonds. The idea is simple, diamonds are extremely dense in terms of their carbonic make up, and so is DLC. However diamonds have a crystalline atomic make up, where as DLC is more hexagonal in shape and formation; think of something that look likes. DLC shares a lot of diamond properties, but is simply different i
The Value Proposition: The Hamilton Jazzmaster Regulator, With Hamilton Exclusive ETA Movement
The regulator clock gained traction in late seventeenth century watchmaking, before the time of radio-controlled master clocks. Their main purpose was to provide a central point of reference for clock and watch makers in a workshop. With separate dials for hours, minutes, and seconds, the clocks provided an easy way to get a precise read on the time when setting other devices. Regulator wristwatches, however elegant and interesting, can sometimes suffer from illegibility due to small dials and difficult layouts. However, with the Hamilton Jazzmaster Regulator, a traditional vertical layout is swapped for a more asymmetric design, resulting in an unexpectedly modern take on this old relic, and it's available for a reasonable price. 2 OF 7 The large dial, required for the dial layout, contributes to greater visual heft relative to a moderately sized 42mm case. 3 OF 7 The first thing you’ll notice about the Hamilton Jazzmaster Regulator is its size. Why only for new comers?
Hello. If been reading about the Pam 380. Maybe I'll buy it in my next trip to Spain. After some discount and tax refund the price it's quite good. Now I only have two, Dssd and Explorer 2 42mm polar. In many forums and comments the people always say, nice 380, good Pam to start with this brand.... and some comments like this.I've had a 064 La Bomba 418 Madrid Edition and Pam 372. Together with Rolex (6) the brand that more watches i bought, but sold all the Pam's and still have two Rolex. What do you think about the 380? Looks simple, that's why any strap will look perfect. Any color any material. Or just for beginners. ..Cheers
Question about green submariner
Hey all,I'm new here so hey all, thanks to the forum for allowing me post here. Well, I've been looking for the Hulk and I havent been able to find one for a while - I'm located in SA Texas. It's been a while already so I have to ask, is this watch being discontinued? will they stop producing it? The reason I ask is becase the retail price is 9,050 dollars and I see it on the gray market for a lot more which makes me wonder, why? so I thought maybe it was discontinued. Thanks a lot!
