Watches NEWS
Hands-On: With The Piaget Altiplano Skeleton in White Gold: Live Pics + Official Pricing
Ask most guys under the age of 50 if they'd wear a skeleton watch, and they'd say "No f'n way."? The reason for that is, up until recently, most were relegated to regal, almost faux opulent designs that were just a little too ornate, a little too "blingy" in the most upper eastside-y / Purdy sort of way.?Then came the Openworked Royal Oak (ref 15305) from AP and the Altiplano Skeleton from Piaget, which we showed you first here.? These two watches are the best examples of the new type of skeletonized watches - the types of openworking that is less dandy / ornate and more manly / industrial.? At SIHH and while visiting Piaget with our contest winner, we got a chance to go hands-on with this awesome new skeletonitzed Altiplano.Sized at 38mm in a case of white gold (ugh, how nice does that combination of size and metal sound?), this is actually the thinnest skeletonized caliber (Piaget 1200S) inside the world's thinnest skeletonized watch, and it took over three years to develop.? What Pi
My first AP, at last.
Feelin' the unmistakable strength of ROO on the wrist.
need some help - vintage omega seamaster question
I have a chance to purchase this watch, but am having trouble identifying it, it looks like a ref 166.0088, but the case back shows 166.088. Also, I do not recall seeing Omegas from the early 1970s with a dive bezel but no depth rating on the dial.Should I run from this one?
5078P Minute Repeater Retail Price
If you are lucky enough to buy a minute repeater new from an AD, what is the retail price? It does not seem like Patek publishes prices for grand complications like this. So, how does the customer know what the real retail price actually is?
How to send an insured watch?
I need to know how to send an insured watch ($ 7000) from one state to another, this case from Sunny Isles FL to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York.I do not want to send for USPS but I know there is another service called Parcel Pro. Someone can tell me how to contact them. Can it be through UPS? Thanks friends. Have a Happy 2008.
