The Watch I Wore The Most In 2015, By Every Single Member Of The HODINKEE Team
We've reported on hundreds, if not thousands, of watches over the past year – from the new releases at SIHH and Baselworld to rare vintage finds and expansive personal collections – but now it's time to find out what we, your HODINKEE writers, editors, and contributors, wore the most in 2015. Now in its third iteration (see 2013 here and 2014 here), this annual feature has quickly become a fan favorite – and as the HODINKEE team has grown significantly this year, it only gets bigger and better this time around. So, with 2016 just around the corner, we give you "The Watch I Wore Most In 2015, By Every Single Member Of The HODINKEE Team." Enjoy. Jack Forster C Grand Seiko GMT 1 OF 12 It’s a little difficult for me to say which watch I absolutely wore the most this year but out of all of them, I’d have to say that the likeliest candidate is probably from Seiko. The Grand Seiko GMT had a lot of competition for wrist
First Omega... just wow!
Some of you may know me from posting in the Rolex section in the past. Although I consider myself a collector, and having had a variety of brands in the past such as Rolex, JLC, Panerai, Glashutte, Vacheron, and even an obscure and vintage Nivada Depthomatic among others, I've never had an Omega. My father had also a variety of watches when I was growing up, and I remember his Speedmaster. Beautiful watch. And while in the back of my head I knew that one day I would get one, there was always another watch that I had the itch to get. Until now.The main thing that kept me from the Speedmaster was that I had little use for the Chrono, a cool feature nevertheless, and not having a date was also problematic for me. I have to travel very frequently across time zones, so a GMT -a true GMT- is always at the top of my list of preferences. So you can imagine my surprise and delight while searching for GMT Chronos that I discovered a couple of Omegas that fit the bill perferctly: The n
Need Advice in Canada
Well in Vancouver to be more specific.First time poster here, but I'm looking to pickup a PO and was wondering what my best options are in Vancouver. My friend suggested me to go to the peace arch duty free as they sell Omegas there and they are willing to negotiate. Otherwise I'll be going to Hong Kong in a February for Chinese new years however reading forums they don't seem to really give discounts anymore doh. This would be my first big watch purchase so I'm trying to do all the reading I can to edumacate myself.
NATO strap for Speedmaster
Hey guys, I have a Speedy Pro coming next week! Do you guys know where I can find those NASA NATO straps I've seen some Speedy owners post. Thanks!
Help me decide, 14060m vs 114060
Should I get 14060m 4-line or a 114060? I like the look of the 4-line with the engraved rehaut which is why I like the 4-line 14060m instead of the 2-line. One one hand, I like the classic shape of the 14060m and still have trouble accepting the maxi-lugs. But on the other hand, the ceramic bezel and glidelock are appealing. I keep going back and forth and need a nudge from the folks on the forum.
