Meistersinger Launches the New Circularis With Bespoke Movement
Meistersinger �C maker of the famous watch with one hand �C has announced a new watch with a new, bespoke, manually wound movement known as caliber MSH01. The movement features a striking design and some interesting technical features. Let’s take a look.The new watch is the Circularis, and it is the first piece in a new family of models powered by the all-new movement. Meistersinger developed the movement jointly with a Swiss partner. The two companies devoted three years to the project. The movement is highly distinctive �C its unusual geometry can't be mistaken for any other. The first thing you notice is the large, organically shaped bridge, then you see the prominent twin mainspring barrels, which together provide a smooth flow of power for a full five days. The twin barrels and the balance wheel form a triangle that gives the movement a balanced look. Bell & Ross has announced two new dive watches that will be available in August. Both models have 44mm steel cases with decompression valves and 1000 meter water resistance, and both are powered by ETA 2892 movements. The differences lie in the finishes. Find pricing inside. The BR 02 Phantom has a black PVD case with a Clou de Paris dial, while the BR 02 Steel sports its natural finish and a carbon fiber dial.For divers, crucial timekeeping is assisted by single-direction toothed interior bezels graduated to 60 mn with a photoluminescent reference point. Both watches have anti-reflective sapphire crystals, and are available on rubber or heavy-duty canvas straps.The BR02 Steel with carbon fiber dial is priced at $3,500. Only Watch Raises �2,285,500 for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
The Only Watch auction held September 24 raised �2,285,500 (slightly under $3,350,000) for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a childhood disease. In all, Patrizzi & Co. auctioned 34 exceptional timepieces at the event, which took place during the Monaco Yacht Show. A unique Patek Philippe ref. 5160 brought the top bid of �535,000.00 or more than $780,000.Other top sellers included a unique piece by BNB Concept for Confr��rie Horlog��re which brought �280,000 ($410,000) and a unique Cabestan Winch Tourbillon Vertical that sold for �220,000 ($322,000). We are proud to be the first to announce a new collection of LEGO brand watches for adults. That's right, LEGO, which has had a large collection of kids watches for years, will soon launch a comprehensive collection of timepieces for men and women in November 2013. These are among the very few plastic watches we would wear. What is fun is that despite being sized (and styled) for adults (at least adults in terms of age), the LEGO watches for adults have as many fully swappable parts as the kids versions have.Officially, these timepieces are referred to as the LEGO Watch System because pieces such as the bracelet links and bezels can be interchanged with each other.
