Breitling Owners -- Help please
A friend just bought one of their non-chronograph COSC cert'd watches. Good looking I might add. Here's the issue, he says it's stopping on him all the time. I asked him if you wears it regularly. He claims to. A brief look at their website seems to show similar watches have about a 42 hr power reserve. These babies have power reserve issues?I told him to give it a good 40 turns Friday am, wear it all day and see how long it takes to stop over the weekend. He seems to think it defective, but I think it's too early to reach that conclusion. Any thoughts?
It's here and my fears were unfounded
Yes, my Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial arrived this afternoon and I could not be more pleased. (Pictures later so for now, you will have to take my word that I have it on my wrist.)As some of you know, my first reservation about this model was the thickness of the case and how it would wear on my round wrist. I had to remove 3 and a half links but the fit is perfect - very comfortable. But I can tell that the ratcheting clasp will be a blessing on humid days. The 41mm case is the perfect size for a vintage look. Now what about the PCLs? I know that fingerprints and scratches will probably drive me crazy but Omega did a good job recreating the look of the original 300 bracelet. The watch is supposed to look like the original and it does. I can live with the PCLs, at least for now.I've owned the 2500 LM PO LE (a beautiful watch without a doubt) and an 8500 PO that wore like a hockey puck on my wrist. In my current stable, I have my second modded 2254.50 but I suspect it will soon be findin
Question about 111
HelloI wanted to know in what year the model 111 starts to have the box called sandwich? And what letter of series? Thanks a lot.
Next on the list with the AD - Buy the 126600?
AD just called and I'm next on the list the SD43. Most likely buying as an investment piece and don't want to unseat my SubC. Worth the speculation to be an investment piece, or just pass and don't deal with the hassle and risk of selling down the road. Thoughts??
Vegas - PT DD40 with Green Anniversary Dial
Just like Rolex allows any SS Skydweller dial to be specially ordered on a WG model...ala the Blue WG Skydweller seen on one of our TFS site, I was in Las Vegas last weekend and saw a PT DD40 with Anniversary Green Olive dial.I believe that you can special order any PT DD40 with any WG dial you want..including the 60th anniversary Olive dial.It was stunning. It had the non-fluted bezel so I am not sure if the play with the deconstructed romans and the light was less or different than the play between the WG version with the fluted bezel.....but as good as it looks in WG.....that olive dial on the that cold frosted white platinum metal....incredible....If I were to get a PT watch, I always assumed it would be with glacier blue dial but the olive and PT looks absolutely amazing.
