New Xemex Piccadilly Chronograph Watch Makes Minimalism, Less Minimalistic
With Basel World right around the corner, pictures of new watches are beginning to leak out. I am happy that Xemex, one of the watch companies I've enjoyed the longest, has a new offering. From industrial design to haute chic, the Piccadilly Chronograph takes Xemex in a decidedly more designer direction. Not a bad thing as minimalism and style blend well for the Xemex Piccadilly.The Piccadilly is not the first chronograph offered from Xemex, but I would argue this model looks the most comfortable in terms of design. Previous Xemex Offroad or Avenue models featured chronograph iterations, but this model, using a Valjoux 7750 with an excellent design is arguably the most beautiful yet. A new feature for Xemex are the polished chronograph registers within the otherwise matte finished face. This is an excellent way for the user to differentiate reading the different registers, but at the same time not distract from the legibility of the main hour and minute hand. Speedy on winder
I wondered if anyone knows what the proper setting on a winder is for a speedy. Looking around I found reference to 700-800 clockwise only.Thanks for any ideas.Mike

Thoughts on the blue Gondola 5124g
Hi All,I am looking at getting a pair of watches with the wife to celebrate our upcoming 25th wedding anniversary and am considering the Patek Gondolo 5124g and the Twenty-4 as the pair. It seems that the Gondolo isn't a very popular model and I wanted to get everyone's opinion on this watch. Do you think it fits well into my current collection (pictured below)? For me, it ticks a few boxes as it has a blue face and blue strap (I love blue), it is a time only watch (so goes well with my patrimony and submariner) and would add a square/rectangular watch in the collection. I would be particularly interested to hear opinions from those who own (or have owned) the Gondolo. Appreciate everyone's input.

Is there anything more photogenic than a Panerai?
I've seen some absolute corking shots of Panerai watches on here of late. From Nick's 372, to those shots in that resurrected thread of the 232, the Bronzo on the beach today and then the slam dunk which is Jocke's masterpiece.I don't think I've seen any watch look as incredible in a photograph as a Panerai. Moving to the Top of the List
Hi all,After I purchased a Rolex from an AD in NYC, I asked to be put on the wait list for a SS Ceramic Daytona. Anyways, I know the wait list isn't a real thing. If you spend $, you will get the watch and the faster you spend, the sooner you get it. Unfortunately, I am not rich enough to employ that strategy. My thought is that if I consistently follow up with the AD, then perhaps I can increase my odds of purchasing the Daytona at retail from an AD. Has anyone had luck using this strategy?
