Watches NEWS
Porsche Design Group Ends Watch Production Relationship With Eterna
Interesting news today as Porsche Design and Eterna have announced that they have terminated their watch making relationship. For years Porsche Design (designed) watches were produced by the Swiss watch maker Eterna, located in Grenchen, Switzerland. As of March 10th, 2014, the two companies have announced the termination of their license agreement to develop, produce, and sell Porsche Design branded timepieces.Sadly, I did see this coming. Porsche Design has aligned itself with some interesting watch companies over the years including, most notably, IWC. Their run with Eterna helped them to produce some of the highest quality, most interesting Porsche Design watches since the company's beginning in 1972. It seemed like Eterna was an excellent and long lasting partner. Eterna had its own problems though, and while very interesting, Eterna brand timepieces were not doing as well as they could have been.In a sense, Eterna watches were plagued by being too focused on interesting movements

We ask watchmakers to make a watch that will survive a journey to the sun's core. The SIHH 2012 Roger Dubuis blue laser Mission Impossible/Matrix -esque experience is related by Ariel and the Roger Dubuis Pulsion Watches (he describes in detail in his write-up here) are discussed. Ariel is sick of the retro watch thing, so he likes the risks the Pulsion takes.John finds a way again to mention the Orange Monster. You guys think we are down on Panerai, so we express our true feelings.Listen to Episode 94 on the HourTimeShowwatches-dealer website here.Download the MP3 here.

Omega Boutique services?
So I started my Speedmaster journey a couple of months ago by looking at one at the Omega Boutique in my city. Ended up buying last week from a trusted seller (too good to pass up) and had a local jeweler size the bracelet for me. Like I've seen others mention before, the bracelet doesn't fit me as well as I'd like it too. I have one more thing to try before considering the adjustable clasp addition I've seen here.My question is, will the Boutique greet me with open arms, fiddle with mt adjustments, and offer to order parts if needed? Or will I be given the cold shoulder since I bought it elsewhere. Thanks for any advice/experiences.
Incoming BLNR
It's arrived and I'm very pleased, it's a great addition to my collection.
