Updated Style Marcello C Nettuno 3 For Sale On eBay: Auction Ends Nov-20-07 01:10:27 PST
I love when Marcello C watches show up on eBay, it is such a rare treat, and an opportunity to own a truly satisfying watch. The Marcello C Nettuno 3 is uncommon watch as it is relatively inexpensive but enjoys a very high level of quality. The only other watch to compare it to is the Rolex Submariner. Each have the same features, and arguably, the Marcello C Nettuno is more comfortable on the wrist. I have a Marcello C Nettuno 3, actually two of them. They are perfect watches for everyday wear, that are stylish, and very handsome. This Nettuno 3 is very special because it is a special edition style watch. It has been outfitted with "sword" hands, and special hour indicators. The custom indicators and hands serve to give the watch a more aggressive and bold look. Sword hands on diver's watches such as this are commonly used to increase visibility underwater and at night. The larger hands tend to be more conspicuous in such environments. Further, the special rectangular hour indicators
A Week On The Wrist: The Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox
By now you're probably familiar with our A Week On The Wrist reviews, in which we offer a detailed look at the history and technical details of a watch while also explaining what it is like to actually wear the watch. But we know you're not only interested in modern watches, so this is the first of many future A Week On The Wrist reviews looking at vintage classics. To start things off, I took a trans-Atlantic trip with the original automatic alarm watch, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox. 2 OF 41 The Mechanical Alarm The mechanical alarm is an underrated complication. Today we almost all have smartphones of one make or another that can set dozens of alarms for different purposes, alert us to calendar events, and track dozens of appointments at once. So from a pure utility standpoint, the mechanical alarm is a little behind the times. When it comes to charm though, there is nothing like a mechanical alarm wristwatch. 3 OF 41 The Arrow For Setting The
Guidance on selling prices for these two Patek's - 5711A & 5127R
What price would you put on these two pieces with a view to selling?Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711A B&P's from 2012 bought originally in the UK in good condition? I wore it everyday, so shows signs of wear.AndPatek Philippe Calatrava 5127R box and archives, from 2006, not originally from the UK and fitted on a pin buckle.
Panerai service center TX sent my watch to wrong address!
awhile ago I sent my panerai 347 in for service to PASC TX. Having only used them once before on a BRAND NEW pam of mine that was losing time back in 2006. My First experience with PASC in 2006 was not a good one. They received my brand new watch for a minor adjustment for the timing. I had heard horror stories about PASC TX damaging customer watches so I was told to take detailed pictures of my watch before I send it in to them incase they damage it during service. I get my watch back MONTHS later and not only was the inside of the crystal scratched, but so was the dial and the caseback was scratched up beyond belief.. Keep in mind the watch was brand spanking new before I sent it to them. After months of fighting with panerai offices in NY, I finally got them to agree to replacing the entire watch with a brand new one, no serial new everything. They said I was the first person they had to replace an entire watch to. If they didn't, it would have taken them 8 mo to a year to complete t
Submariner No Date at AD - Need to decide!!
Hi All -I've been looking very seriously at a pre-owned GMT II LN as my first Rolex. Drove past a random AD today, stopped in and they had a new GMT LN and also a Submariner No Date, both fully stickered. Fell in love with the Sub No Date!! Love the simplicity and symmetry of it. My mind is changed! Im new to Rolex (though not new to watches) but I typically try buy pre-owned. This AD was adamant no discounts and I'll have to eat the tax. I don't like taking the depreciation hit but that said just browsing the for sale' listings it doesn't seem like I'll save a huge amount going pre-owned these days (assuming pre-owned watch is still under warranty). So, for the first time go ahead and buy a new watch? Or, wait and ty snag pre-owned! Thanks for your thoughts!
