New for 2013: Richard Mille RM 036 Tourbillon G-Sensor Jean Todt
Auto racing enthusiast Richard Mille has long been inspired by cars and motorsports in the designs for his eponymous watch brand, but the new RM 036 Tourbillon G-Sensor Jean Todt, which makes its official debut at next month’s SIHH watch fair in Geneva, is the first to include a complication dedicated to road safety.Following in the footsteps �� or the tire treads, if you will �� of previous racing-inspired pieces like the Felipe Massa and Le Mans limited editions, the new watch features a tourbillon movement, made entirely of grade-5 titanium and ARCAP on a carbon nanofiber baseplate, inside an ergonomically crafted tonneau case made of titanium. The movement, Caliber RM 036, is manually wound and has a power reserve of 70 hours. It was a great pleasure meeting up with our new forum friend Roger (aka Conkers) over a short but pleasant afternoon tea in Orchard Road. You may have already known him as an avid watch collector with some very exquisite AP, PP & RM pieces in his stable. He has also shared that he's working out deals on some very special APs... I won't tell you much here, but all I can say is to stay tuned... we might see something really 25721 vs PT44The PT44 ROO is really a handsome watch! 5726 - good idea?
Hello,I am thinking of purchasing the 5726 from my AD when available. It will become my joint daily wearer alongside my 5205R black dial.Any thoughts on this reference? Specifically if the bezel is a scratch magnet and if the finish holds up well to daily usage? I like my watches to stay looking fresh. I would mostly use it on the leather strap but also put it on the composite for holidays where we would be by the pool.Also any alternative suggestions in case there's a model I've missed? I want a little more sporty design, in white metal, on a strap and a case that isn't too thin (so no 5712). Given these factors the Nautilus and specifically the 5726 seems the obvious choice. I think the watch itself is a real beauty and I love the symmetry of the dial in addition to the slightly chunky Nautilus case - so much presence! The only negative really is that I already have the AC complication on my 5205.Any thoughts? Thanks.
