Thoughts on the size of the Jumbo on my small wrists?
What do you guys think?I do intend to get it in stainless steel, however this was the only one available, and it is the same size.I initially was interested in the 15450 37mm, since I have pretty small wrists at around 6.25 wrists, maybe slightly smaller, but I just felt the 37mm was on the smaller side; I also love the blue dial so that was one more thing I couldn't get on the 15450.I personally think it pretty much wears like my 40mm Rolex GMT, which I am very comfortable with; I am just not sure if the Jumbo will sit well on my wrists when I remove the links.I am told that I can remove a max of 6 links. Should that be enough for my scrawny wrists?I appreciate your opinions, and any input. Thank you guys.
WatchTime December 2012
Not sure if you've seen it yet, but wanted to mention that the new December issue of WatchTime is out and features the new extra-thin 39MM AP Royal Oak. Mine (magazine...unfortunately not an AP) just arrived in the mail. Great shot on the cover and a 15-page review including a disassembled view of the movement. Lots of other great info and articles...even has an article on Arnold's AP collection
Grey market in the USA, on thin ice (legally speaking)
As reported in an earlier thread here (post 28/Jon)And from other websites...Watchtimefaegresupremecourt.govOmega Wins! This has been long, drawn out legal battle that Omega has finally won. The Supreme Court has sided with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, giving foreign importers more power (legally) on how their goods are sold in the United States. This will give Swiss manufatures (Rolex, TAG, etc) more power in controlling their distribution plans for the US. Also, it will give foreign importers more power to sue those that seek to import/sell their goods into the States without their consent.
My new PP Nautilus 5711/1A-010!!!
Hi guys, here is a report of my purchase of the PP Nautilus Ref: 5711/1A-010. A quick background about myself regarding the watches I have had the pleasure of owning so far, which includes an AP RO, a couple of PAMs, Rolex Sub, GMT, Explorer, Daytona, Bremont, JLCs, Zeniths, Breitlings, Stowas, IWCs. So hopefully that adds some credibility to what I say! I purchased this from David Reeves at the London Patek Salon on Bond Street and it was a great pleasure to deal with him!! I initially called the salon around 1 month ago regarding the Nautilus and at the time they did not have one in stock but said they can put my name down on the list. 2 weeks later, they call me and say that its arrived from Switzerland, still vacuum packed and sealed!! So after searching around for others, I decided that I will go for the one at the boutique, they can hold a watch for you for 7 days so that gave me enough time to search around. Unfortunately I could not locate any near me so I just decided to go fo
