Watches NEWS
New movement
Any new news on the development of the seemingly long awaited chromo movement? Basel 2017 maybe? (while heavily thinking about pulling the trigger on the existing model, a small voice keeps telling me to hold off till next years unveiling)
My Speedy ... finally ...
After searching a pre-owned market here for a while, I finally got the Speedy Pro Schumaker LE in pristine condition.Immediately I changed the bracelet into a black croco strap, and I love it!Here's the pics! Thanks for the help guys!PS: I'm still awaiting for the speedy meteorite to come in the AD and see what's it's like! Another Rolex Dilemma
I want a new watch for my 30th birthday, but Im having a hard time deciding and would love to hear some TRF wisdom. For sometime I've had my 16622 YM and what a great watch it is, but sometimes I find it a bit too dressy, I'm a big fan of sports watch. I have a seiko which I don't think Ill keep for much longer and Im going back to OWG. So here are my options.Option 1: Flip the YM for a Hulk. I really like the Hulk, it's stealthy, functional and practical. I like the idea of not needing to make a decision.Option 2: Keep the YM and add a Explorer 1. I've always had an eye on the Explorer, perfect zero f's given watch and use the YM for special occasions. GMT's are out since I don't need a GMT function. Daytonas are out as well, I ordered one earlier this year and I came realize I'm just not a chrono guy, gave my spot to a friend. Unfortunately Seadwellers are out as well, they are just too big for me. Grail is between PP5167 and YM 116655, most likely when the time comes I'll have to pai
Incoming Explorer and thoughts on my journey thus far
Forgive the long-winded post - I think I may have too much free time at my desk this morning...I've nearly reached the end of my self-imposed delay at long last. Later today, I'm headed to the AD to pick up the Explorer they put aside for me nearly three long months ago, and I really do feel like I did at 10 years old on Christmas Eve, before heading to my beloved Grandmother's house for the feast and celebrations and, of course, presents. When I went to the AD back in August to choose which model I wanted, I promised to myself that I would only pick it up as a reward for accomplishing a few important things, some of which needed a little more time, and now I'm finally there. Also, as I outlined in another post somewhere, when it comes to luxury or pleasure-based purchases, I've always really enjoyed the anticipation nearly as much as the possession, so it wasn't too hard for me to make the decision to wait a little. It'll make the experience later this afternoon that much sweeter, aft
