Junghans Meister Agenda Watch
Everybody's got an aesthetic sweet spot �C design principles that speak to you for no particular reason. Imagining your ideal watch is difficult, just like choosing a favourite in anything. But when someone sticks it right in front of your face, you just know that it is the one for you. And yet even then, even when you're holding the watch in your hands, you struggle to describe why it works for you. That's pretty much how I feel about the Junghans Meister Agenda.This is not the first Junghans I have had the pleasure of discussing. It was a brand I knew little about before I started writing for ABTW �C aside from their association with the late great Max Bill �C but my admiration for their products has grown quickly. I recently discussed the new Max Bill range here, and was impressed by the cleanliness and balance of the dials. This seems to be a respect held by many in the horological community. I Ordered it 6 weeks ago , and finally is here...It came in this luxury plastic bugWave design under the strapIt's a deployment strap so the deployment buckle is necessary..Time to take the bracelet off Removing the braceletThe strap is waiting to ''meet'' the watch...On the left the bracelet's spring bars and on the the right the bigger spring bars i am going to use with this strap.Both pairs are genuine .Omega is using bigger spring bars for straps and smaller with bracelets , for more secure fitting i guessparison photo:On the left the strap with the bracelet's spring bar and on the right the bigger one.Wrist shots finallyThats it , thank you very much for watching.

Future of 5711/1A production line
Called my local AD earlier today to ask about delivery time, price and availability for the 5711/1A.Was told that they received one (1) last month, that they have at present a white dial one in stock, and that they cannot confirm availability ever again unless they talk to PP.They very politely refused even to accept a reservation with immediate deposit paid unless they first confirm with PP that the specific model will continue to be produced.They stressed that with the Basel 2014 show coming up, they do not know at all if they will receive again the specific piece. Sounds very strange to me, this is a relatively basic but highly elegant and a unique design of the brand...They asked me to call again next week in order to confirm future availability. Was provided a (very good) price, so keeping fingers crossed that Patek will keep this beauty in the lineup hopefully in a couple of months I can have one (considered gold versions but they are quite flashy for my daily work environment).

Panerai...are they still a big deal?
I haven't read or heard much about Panerai lately. Is the Panerai craze over?
