Question to AP RO chrono 41mm owners
I was very curios when i tried two chronographs yesterday a VC overseas chrono and a AP RO chrono 41mm in SS. I was told that the overseas chrono bracelet was changeable to a leather or rubber strap, whereas i was also told by an AP dealer that a RO chrono's bracelet is not changeable into a strap such as the messi limited edition.
AP and the holidays
With SIHH right around the corner and the holidays upon us, I'm giddy with joy. Let's see some AP holiday cheer!Who knew Pre No?l wore an AP?!
Not happy!
I have just bought a new speedy in Miami at an AD and when I got home, I have noticed a stain on the edge of the dial. I am totally disappointed. Would like to hear opinions on my options. Is it too much of a long shot to demand a new one. Going back to Miami is not possible. I attach pics. Thank you for any input.
LOVE my new Speedmaster Pro Tintin!
I am usually not the kind of person to post an incoming (still have to properly introduce my BLNR in the Rolex section) but I am so happy with my new acquisition that I would like to give it due credits!Long story short, I started in the (serious) watch world in 1998 when I rewarded myself with a Seamaster Pro 300m diver (aka the Bond watch or 2531.80 for you geeks!). Wore that one for 16 years straight when I stumbled The Rolex Forum as I was increasing my knowledge for my new passion of really serious watches. Had long been eyeing the Speedy Pro but the Rolex GMT Master-2 was starting to catch my eye and I had a new admiration for Rolex as a brand (used to dislike them quite a lot as the cheesy glitzy old DD and other TT DJ were never my cup of tea... I will admit). Eventually, I got a 3570.50 and as much as I loved it at first sight, it proved to not be a daily wearer for me as it was lacking the date and I felt that the hesalite was a bit too prone to swirls. Decided to sell it to
Observations
I participated in a sporting charity event this weekend. I had about 40 teams of 4 people come through my station. The event costs about $5000 per team so these people were not poverty stricken. I saw a lot of Rolex watches. The vast majority were Subs followed by two tone DateJust. Saw only 1 Explorer 2.I saw nothing above these watches. I would have expected some DayDates and GMTs. Not so.
