Parmigiani Adds New Tourbillon to Its Pershing Collection
Parmigiani Fleurier, the boutique brand founded by master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani, has added a new limited-edition watch, called the Tourbillon Abyss, to its collection of Pershing timepieces, established in 2007 in a partnership with the prestigious Italian yacht manufacturer.Introduced at the SIHH watch salon in January, the Pershing Tourbillon Abyss, which is limited to 30 individually numbered pieces, has an exceptionally light titanium case middle, a dynamometric screw-down crown and a rose-gold, unidirectional bezel. The dial evokes the nautical influence of Pershing yachts, with its deep azure hue and wave patterns in various lighter shades of blue, achieved by creating multiple fine layers with an electroplating process.Like other timepieces in Parmigiani’s Pershing family the brand’s first sports collection the watch’s case bears distinctive curves that bring to mind the shape of a yacht’s hull. The main case material is grade 5 titanium, which
Introducing: The Radiomir 1940 Automatic In 42 MM, And Three Other New Releases From Panerai
Panerai came storming out of the gates at Watches & Wonders 2015 in Hong Kong. Not only did it release a long awaited piece in a slimmer, more constrained size while upgrading its hardware, but it also upgraded a few other models in its Radiomir lineup – be they simple timekeeping pieces or haute complications. The Radiomir 1940 3 Days Automatic C 42 MM (PAM 620) This watch has been anticipated for some time. In a sense, it may even have been overdue given the seemingly simple combination of precursory features that consumers had petitioned for after seeing them individually scattered among other releases. We saw a great 1940 Radiomir in the PAM00512 back in 2013, which measured 42 mm and sported the in-house manual P.999 with 60-hour reserve.Last year, when the 1940 went automatic, the size went up to 45 mm – and when the price decreased to [a negotiable] four figures, the diameter didn't follow. Chemistry between watch lovers and their perfect size c
Seamaster Professional case backseal
Just wondering what the position is re the case back seal. I have had the back off to regulate my SMP and would like to know if I need to exchange the o-ring for a new one each time the case back is removed? Got it running to within a second or two a day and the same over the course of a week with the occasional winder down position over night.I am not planning on diving, perhaps the occasional holiday swim. I have tightened up the case back with reasonable force, just seeking opinions before getting wet!Is it also worth changing the stem seal(s), is this a DIY job? If so does one release the stem with the winder in the winding or adjusting position? I assume there is some sort of detent spring that releases the stem. Does it simply re-insert? Am I out of my league and should I just give it to an AD.Also seem to be having a little trouble finding a OEM case seal in the UK (case ref 168.1622) by searching the web, are these seals fairly universal or do I need a genuine Omega one?
I love this Omega....

Can i pull it off?
Debating a 422. Felt the 372 I previously owned just didn't feel right on my wrist. Thanks.
