When will we find out about what AP will be launching in 2015?
Speedmaster... need advice!
I am a newbie to omega and is torn between the Speedmaster Co-axial with enamel dial (311.30.44.50.01.001) and the HB-SIA Co-axial (321.90.44.52.01.001).I like the classic look and the clear back of the former, but found the HB-SIA stunning when I saw the real thing in the omega shop. What do you think if you have to choose between these two?Or should I forget both and get the speedmaster pro with sapphire crystal on both sides (3573.50.00)? Or better yet the 50th anniversary LE?Thanks!
Time for an upgrade ...
After nearly 5 years of loyal service it was finally time move on one of my most worn pieces ...my trusty 5167 has been given its marching orders to make room for his bigger brother ... the 5164
Incoming: Panerai 422
I picked up a Panerai 422 yesterday from my AD. I have previously been a owner and was an early admirer for the brand. Panerai has lost me on a lot of levels with the marketing and what I believe to be a, sells mentality, that steps over collectors. But I do like a lot of the watches and the 422 is one of my favorites that can be obtained for a reasonable amount. I have owned this watch before and I regretted letting it go. I have more than a dozen straps that I have keep from my previous ownership experiences. Knowing I would be back so I am not starting from scratch.
Any other?
OK, Basel is here (well just about!). And now that it is... A thought just crossed my mind? What other industry/company (it's not just Rolex) are able to enjoy a ten year+ product life cycle? And, the product (I'm sensing that the Coke GMT on a jubilee is the most anticipated) that is getting the most people excited is a decade plus old model being reunited with a part from the seventies!!!We all know the other ultra hot non Rolex models AP5202, PP 5711, both models 40 years old. What other luxury product that contains mechanical and aesthetical components can endure this lifecycle? Are we all mad?
