Romain Jerome Liberty DNA Watch
The newest "DNA" watch collection from Romain Jerome will be the Liberty DNA timepieces. These watches will each incorporate some metal from the actual Statue of Liberty, and feature a unique design meant to honor the statue while not simply featuring imagery from it on the case and dial. Do you see something a bit steampunk about it? Maybe, while this isn't per se a Steampunk watch (as many other Romain Jerome models are), the Liberty DNA (ref. RJ.T.AU.LI.001.01) does have a 19th century feel to it.Romain Jerome worked in collaboration with the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation as well as the Gold Leaf Corporation on this timepiece. These foundations helped Romain Jerome acquire small amounts of metal from the actual statue. The dial of the watch is designed to look just like the oxidized copper look of the statue today. It has no markers, just the signature color and texture of the statue. The dial itself is where metal from the statue is incorporated. Over the dial and attac

Patek warranty transferable?
If you buy a Patek from a trusted seller and the watch is still within the warranty period, is that warranty transferable to a new owner? I.e. is there any penalty for not having your name on the warranty card?
FOUND: World's Best Cleaner For Rolex Watches
It has come to my attention, after many comments and deep concerns by forum members, that many of you are deeply concerned about showering with your Rolex (see thread Do you shower with your Rolex on? at .RolexForums/showthread.php?t=589460 . A valid concern as there are expensive luxury mechanical timepieces that may not be able to withstand such use. In addition to water possibly reaching the fragile internal mechanical movement, the chemicals, soaps, etc used need to also be factored in. And with knowing a Rolex is sufficiently waterproof, we need to focus on not the physical act of showering but the soaps and possible abrasives. Watch used is a daily beater worn 24/7/365 SS SkyD blue. As a ‘professional’ reviewer for decades within the luxury goods sector, it comes as a surprise that not a single watch magazine has reviewed and tested common showers soaps. With such a high probability and variety of exposure to such substances, it is then a good idea for someone to test
Datejust 41 vs blue two tone submariner
Hi. I am looking at a datejust 41 with the black face and jubilee bracelet in two tone steel and yellow gold. The other watch I'm looking at is the two tone sub with the blue face. I currently have a gmt master 2 all steel and feel the sub is a very similar watch except I love the blue face and two tone bracelet. On the other hand, I love the traditional looking datejust 41 with the jubilee bracelet. Any thoughts? Does anyone have either or both and does the datejust two tone with a black face still work as a casual watch? Thanks.
