Carl F. Bucherer’s Patravi EvoTec DayDate Gets an Update
In 2008 Carl F. Bucherer achieved Manufacture status with the introduction of the CFB A1000 automatic winding movement with a peripheral rotor that combines the technical values of the central rotor with the visual advantages of the micro-rotor. The EvoTec DayDate is now available in a cushion-shaped case with a new steel bezel. Find wallpaper and pricing inside. Beyond the peripheral rotor, the CFB A1000 caliber offers several other technical advances. The patented rotor mounting is assisted by DLC-coated rollers which are themselves mounted on ball bearings. The DLC coating provides a hardness exceeding 2,00 Vickers, which makes it several times harder than steel, the customary material used. The system requires no lubrication. The ball bearing/roller assemblies are mounted on rocking bars. Special springs allow highly accurate positioning of the rollers, and eccentrics ensure precise adjustment of the bars. A Dynamic Shock Absorption system prevents the holds the rotor in check even

Just picked this up yesterday. Had to trade in the PAM 320 N but it was well worth it. Have to wait till the shorter strap comes in but I love the look of it. How do you guys clean the case? Both my Panerai's came with a cleaning cloth, what can I use for this? Also are there OEM straps I can buy? I'm thinking a grey or black horn back would be a great addition.
RB2 Ti Vs Grand Prix Carbon. Which do you choose?
Being that these two limited editions are quite sought after but still have a different aesthetic, which do you go for and why? I'd love to hear some banter as to what makes one better than the other. Seems as if RB2 people consider it the best ever, but the Grand Prix size and presence seems to be a big hit with others as well. thoughts?VS
Cases 111 and 312
helloPAM cases of Luminor 1950 are different from Luminor Base?Seem the same but when I see photos of a 312 and a 111 I think they are different. Both are 44 mm. It seems to me or is there any difference?
Rolex, Dinner and a Show
Last week I had a wonderful meal at one of the Fortnum and Mason restaurants, 45 Jermyn St, just behind the store. We had the Beef Wellington which was so delicious, the chateaubriand beef was just melt in the mouth and the pastry was excellent. We also had our peppercorn sauce flambed tableside, quite spectacular. We also bought some goodies, including a delicious Bothy Pie, a pork pie with Lincolnshire Poacher cheese and topped with caramelised onions. All highly recommended, esp with a nice cup of Darjeeling or Smoky Earl Grey. My LVc also matched their greenish colours.
