Eterna Royal KonTiki Chronograph GMT Watch Debuts With New Movement
For Baselworld 2015, Eterna will debut a brand new version of its in-house made Calibre 39 movement known as the Calibre 3927A. This automatic chronograph GMT holds a lot of merit and will first exist inside of the new Eterna Royal KonTiki Chronograph GMT watch. Eterna made the decision to house the new movement in a relatively wildly colored watch, and hopefully, there will be more styles available when the watch launches soon. Until then, let's check out the Eterna Royal KonTiki Chronograph GMT that looks pretty cool on paper.Eterna debuted their new in-house Calibre 39 movement here back in 2013. The movement was to serve as a base for a range of other movements. Eterna claims that the Calibre 39 can be used as the basis for "no fewer than 88 different movements." Skeleton 15407 Question
Just wanted to get the forums opinion on having both the RG and SS in the same colllection? Is it redundant? Is it perfect? Which one would you keep if you were only going to keep or buy one?
Hoping to learn more about this watch ...
I'm hoping someone on this forum can help me learn something more about this watch, beyond its being a Deville, presumably bought at Turler in Switzerland (?). And, possibly, any recommendations on where to get it restored?20150627_072822.jpg20150626_110020.jpgA little background ... my father bought this for my mother when he first visited Switzerland in 1968 - '69. Based on what my parents have told me, those were financially difficult times for them, with having to support an extended family. Coming as it did about five years after they were married, this would have been the first nice gift my father would have been able to get her. Growing up, I remember my mother wearing it proudly. At some point in the last 12 years or so, deteriorating health prevented her from wearing this (or any watch), until her passing 5 years ago. Over the years, the watch has been serviced and maintained, not always by Omega authorized service centers, until upkeep of the watch could no longer be hi
If I buy a new submariner 114060 today from an official AD and sell it 4 years later..
Would I lose a lot? Just wanna have the option to cash out in case I need the money for stocks etcBackstory: I just put my name down in the list for the 114060 a while back. Just a bit worried that I might regret after a few years and get tired of it hahaMy usage would probably be on fridays and weekends only
