I am negotiating on one of these. Firstly, what do we think of it as a watch? It's a new piece, but has been sitting around in the dealer's window for some time. Secondly, any thoughts on pricing - at what price is it a no brainer? New price is USD270-ish.Thoughts appreciated.

To be honest, I don't know whether his comments were sincere or facetious, but I'll assume the former.Expanding on that concept I wondered whether the watches produced under Henri Stern's stewardship might be similarly valued differently from those of his son Philippe, or grandson Thierry. For me the best days of Patek Philippe were under the reign of Henri until 1992-3 when he turned control to his son Philippe, who in turn passed control to his son Thierry in 2009.My first Patek was purchased in 1992 (certificate signed by Henri) and my more recent purchases have certificates signed by either Philippe or Thierry. My personal preference for Patek Philippe watches has always been their traditional dress watches, which many would de
