I noticed appreciation threads for certain watches and figured, hey why not one for the AP 44! Post what you have and lets see all those great pics of the 44 Royaloak Offshores! Here is my baby
Aqua Terra Day Date incoming
Picked up my first Omega this weekend form the AD. The simplicity of its beauty is what sold me, I love it.
Trusted watchmaker in New Jersey
Omega Speedmaster 3570.50 custom project to change dial and hands to mitsukoshi. Anyone know a great watchmaker in New Jersey who can be trusted to do this???
Patek making life difficult
Guys,It seems to me that enjoying and collecting Patek watches is tough at this point in time. Many of the hot references are almost like seeking unobtainium. I am only thinking of the current references. The 5524 and 5711 blue dial are going for over list. The 5930 is seldom found (although it is in it's infancy). Nautilus's are tougher than ever to source. All this frustration is painful and yet in the end it really helps all of us protect our so called investment. (I struggle calling a watch an investment).Love them or hate them, Patek and their AD's do a good job protecting their brand yet I still find them so frustrating to predict and work with. Perhaps this varies depending upon where you live. I am thrilled I have a 5711 and empathize with those wanting one. Here is where I will get bashed - but for me I do think they should limit the availability on those who call the 5711 and 5167 as entry watches. I believe they should be made available to clients who have purchased other mo
SAVVI Rolex
How have you been Savvi w/your collection or in this hobby??Wanting to hear your creative ideas, along with your experiences as a watch enthusiast!I've been a watch enthusiast since 1990 and am lucky enough to have obtained a luxury piece or 2 along the way. Am not flush with money so my fine watch collection will never go beyond 1-3 pieces. However, I still want to play the game as I acquire/rotate and trade. I typically hold on to a piece anywhere from 5-10 yrs. but have now (I think/hope) found 1 keeper among my current 2.* I think Savvi Formal wear is on to something...they know prom/weddings are special occasions but many don't hold onto that tux. Rental car Co's./Car manufacturers same thing...have used them for necessity or Saturday play time. I've borrowed/loaned watches to/from a relative for us to have a new/fun experience. Also, have had my AD take pics of dream watches on my wrist. I'd be thrilled to rent a Rolex... seriously...just kidding. ** Please share ways you have k
