I purchased my first real watch when I was 22 years old. It was a Rolex Submariner bought with money I won in Las Vegas from a longer-than-usual run at the craps table. Little did I know, that would be the start of a passion (watches, not gambling) that now spans close to thirty years. So I have been saving up for my grail watch which was the AP 26300 Panda dial. I recently sold my AP moonphase to a member to help fund my grail and while saving I saw a nice 5165 fo about the same price so that threw me a curveball. I really like the aquanaut but like the SS bracelet and the 5165 did not have that option so I wrote it off. I love the 5167 but did not have the will power to save for a couple more months so I was about to get the 26300 when I got a PM from a member asking me if I want to buy his 5167.. I declined becuase I did not have all the money saved yet so he offered to take most of it now and the rest in a couple months when I got it. I offered him a watch as collateral but he declined saying just pay me when I get the rest... I must say WOW this forum is the greatest!! People on this forum are the most generous people I ever met!! This is not the fist time , I had someone send me a 1.25 super jubalee link for my datejust and let me send him the money after

Hey Everyone, I own the mentioned watch and can understand why people like it and am looking for anyone to share their story or perspective on why this watch seemingly all of sudden became the watch to have over the last 6 months. It seems that every time I view an incoming thread, the green sub is the watch.I know the Rolex sports model market are n unique times right now, but this particular watch seems to be mentioned often.
