116680 (Rolex SS Yacht-Master II) vs Diver ??
In the interest of full disclosure...I currently own a 26470or and a FC 44 Novelty. In the hopes of getting a more casual daily wear piece and not wanting to add a 3rd AP I convinced myself to get a 'classic' and purchased a SubC with date. And while I like and appreciate the piece.....it just doesn't 'do it' for me. Every time I look down at my wrist, I get a 'meh..its ok but not great' feeling, and after wearing my AP's I just can't get used to the smaller size (I have a 7.5 wrist).Soooo...I have been contemplating doing something else and am considering moving the SubC for either the 116680 Rolex SS Yacht-Master II or a Diver.Again, in the interest of full disclosure, I have had a Diver before (twice actually , the 2nd time only for a couple of days) and moved it when, unexpectedly, something came up that I was waiting for. I really did enjoy the Diver and told myself that I would reacquire it one day (still have the bracelet for it) but am hesitant to add a 3rd AP piece and am

Missed Delivery of it before my 1 Week trip to Mexico. I Couldn't wait to get it on my wrist. Landed 4pm, contacted Oscar, met up 7pm. Cant SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS about Oscar's (BODYBUMP) service. Enough talking, all pics via iphone 4s (and I dont know why photobucket flattens the pics):Peeled stickers and took out 4 links (2 on each side)A 6.5 wrist can work this beast:It Dwarfs my Patek:Just in time for duty:
Just more than I want
I have a 116613lb that looks like it came out of the coffin yesterday(I treat my things well). Within the past yr I've bought an AK that I really liked but the thickness of the case and or caseback made the watch kinda perch on my wrist. Talked to a trusted seller and wound up with a Stunning 116613lb. I like the watch but don't love it. I mentioned a reply to Jocke in a thread yesterday how I loved the simplicity of the OP 39 compared to a Diver. Don't really know what I'm gonna do at this point but my guess is go 904 DJ 41 orOP39 with batons on a white dial with smooth bezel. I know the 39 OP has domed which is not my favorite. Am I nuts(the answer is yes medically/mentally) to wanna trade down? I don't think so but what do I know.
Discounts at rolex boutique
Hi guys, I know that the rolex boutiques in london are a collaboration between the dealer and rolex and i'm curious as if you can negotiate discounts at the boutiques like you do in a authorized dealer store? Also is it too much if i expect the discount for full gold pieces like the daydate and president lady datejust to be 20%? thanks in advance.
Well that was close, my Sub fell off!
So last night I'm at an award banquet for my wife, I tend to shake my wrist back and forth every once in a while, mainly to shift the watch a little bit, when I did, it got really loose and came apart! A pin came undone, luckily my arm was resting on my leg and the watch didn't fall to the ground and I was able to find the pin.Totally my fault as this was a pin I removed to size the bracelet, I must not have tightened it enough. Do you guys use a touch of blue loctite on your pins or just check them occasionally? So thankful it didn't fall off while walking through a parking lot or when hanging my arm out the window when I drive! Maybe I should buy a lotto ticket!
