Italian Tendence Round Gulliver Watches: Budget N.O.A
You have got to see the advertising that Tendence No Limits watches produce. One of the video's below is an advertisement, while the other video shows a type of marketing that Italian Tendence engages in. That being a location in the virtual world Second Life. They aren't the first company to have virtual real estate in Second Life as Hublot did it first a while back. The idea is that you have a branded area in a the virtual world that people can explore and get interested in the brand. Avatars can buy virtual watches to wear, but more importantly, it is branding for real world sales. I can't say how successful it is, but I like the idea.Well on to the watches. For now I am talking about a single line of models, the Round Gulliver watches from Tendence. I take it Gulliver refers to the term meaning "head." So the round head watch it is. There are actually many versions (over 20), and I am just displaying a few. Their online catalog is pretty comprehensive (and you can buy many of the m
The First Watches To Account For Leap Seconds, From Hoptroff London
The calendar complication is one of the more commonly seen complications in mechanical wristwatches. One thing they don't do is keep track of leap years where an extra day is added to February. To correctly show February's leap day, you would need a perpetual calendar complication in your watch, which is comparatively much more complicated, and much more expensive than a normal calendar complication. Beyond leap days and years, there are leap seconds. Leap seconds are applied to coordinated universal time on an occasional basis, to account for a small irregularity in the Earth's orbit. What if you wanted to take the accuracy of your watch one step further, and keep track of leap seconds? Then, you definitely need a Hoptroff watch. 1 OF 1 Hoptroff makes hyper-accurate wristwatches, using both mechatronic quartz (1 second per year accuracy) and atomic (1 second per millenium accuracy) movements. Hoptroff has announced that on June 30th at 23:59:59 GMT, their wat

....I'm back with a PAM again. Took a hiatus from the brand for a bit, but glad I got back to it. I've had a number of Panerai's and have settled on something simple and to the point. The 111. Not sure why I thought I needed anything else. Live and learn I guess. Of all the ones I've owned, it may be my favorite. I'd just add gold hands if it were up to me, but I'm not complaining. I even have it on my favorite strap maker! :smoking:
