15202 or
This has been a grail of mine for some time. Because I've never got my hands in it until today it's been a mythical creature that I always figured would be perfect eventually... I often used to enjoy fantasising about one day acquiring it....The trouble was I didn't fall in love with it like I hoped I wouldIt seemed a little too small.. Slightly underwhelming... Where as the 15400or seemed a little too big. The extra points being I had a steel 15400 years ago - where as the jumbo is a completely new entity to me... So the jumbo did feel more special - just unfortunately not to the degree I had hoped for 40000Perhaps it will grow on me... Or perhaps I need a new grail??
40th anniversary RO 15202.. Worth the wait over a 15300?
Hi all..Got a ROO Panda (which is unfortunately stuck in the service centre) recently, but it's arrival only made me lust for my next piece..Had originally set my sights on the new 40th anniversary RO Jumbo.. Unfortunately havent had a chance to experience it on the wrist, as I have been told by the boutique and ADs that stock will only arrive next year.. My lust for it has been based mainly on what guys like yourselves have been sayingNow I'm wondering what you guys feel, especially for those that have owned the piece as well as a 15300.. Do you think it's worth the significant price differential? Haven't had a change to try on a 15300 either as it has been discontinued, so can't really find out which piece sings to me more on the wrist..15202 will definitely take a much longer time in terms of saving up for it.. But definitely a nice preowned 15300 will not be easy to find as well, since it has been discontinued.I am aware of the differences eg power reserve, lack of second hand, the
PP... What makes them so special?
To be brief: I'm considering a Patek Philippe Aquanaut, which seems to be in the lower echelon of their lineup, and for the same money I can buy a mid-to-higher range Rolex. So what I'm asking, and please realize that I am almost completely ignorant regarding PP, is what makes them so special? Why is the Patek Philippe Aquanaut made of stainless and $20k and for the same money I can get an 18k & stainless Rolex Sub with a diamond dial? Knowing they are based in experience I regard your opinions as solid gold.Thank you.
finally got call from the ad...
more to follow , had rush to meeting :-(
