Laco Atacama Review
Laco is one of those brands I'm surprised doesn't get more attention. One of the original manufacturers of Flieger watches during WWII, along with Stowa, Wempe, IWC and others, they have a long rich history in watch making. We had the luck of meeting a distant relative of one of the founders of the brand, who wrote us this great brand highlight recently, which I recommend you read for a thorough walkthrough of their story. These days, Laco is positioning themselves for a bit of a comeback with an ever growing line of watches, ranging from Flieger remakes to bauhaus styled vintage models, to tough-as-nails modern tactical pieces. The watch we're going to look at today is of the latter group, the Laco Atacama. These watches have always interested me, but up until recently, they weren't too easy to get your hands on stateside. Going back and forth
I'm leaning towards making my first AP purchase and thought I was ready to pull the trigger on a white dial AP ROC, but then I saw this and loved it, but can't find a model number of any info on AP website. Would appreciate any help I could get from you guys on model information. Thanks!
5235G pics for your viewing pleasure...
Though I no longer own this watch, I wanted to share a couple of pics of the 5235G to show how incredible the dial is on this piece. It amazing because at different angles you get different sheen and color. Hope you guys enjoy the pics!
Which Patek? 5120g or 5119g?

16710 crown with double dash??
Sorry if this has been asked and answered previously, but I can't find a thread link. I am looking at a 16710 W series and noticed that the crown has a double dash under the coronet. What does that signify as I thought there was only one dash to represent a twin-lock crown system?A friend thinks it might have something to do with the type of metal or it could be the lowest of the water proof ratings, eg: 2 dots is on the gmt's 3 dots is Subs and Seadwellers Appreciate someone helping me clarify this.
