Lew & Huey Cerberus Hands-On
Young, internet-born watch brand Lew & Huey has had a number of successful runs on Kickstarter, launching a total of five watches from the platform. Their first was the Riccardo automatic chronograph (which we reviewed here) followed by the Acionna, Spectre, Cerberus and most recently the Orthos.In this Hands-On we will be spending some time with their fourth model, the Cerberus. The model name is an interesting one, coming from Greek and Roman mythology. The Cerberus is a multi-headed dog (often depicted with three heads) with lion's claws, a serpent's tail and a mane made out of snakes. The task of the beast was to guard the underworld and given the animal's description I am sure it did a fine job. The logo of Lew & Huey is a playful looking dog, who perhaps has some lineage to the fabled Cerberus. Which for a first Nautilus? 57261/A or 5712R?
Hypothetically speaking, what will be your choice for a first Nautilus if you are to choose between these two models? Here are the models along with my analysis of their (+) and (-). I am not considering any Nautilus with a bracelet. The 57261/A with strap(+) Lower Cost compare to 5712R(+) Versatile, better for daily(+) Additional Strap (+) Love the AC complication, it's actually useful to me(+) Looks (-) SS only (-) Thicker case profile (-) Same complication as my existing PP 520andThe 5712R (+) It's Gold! (+) Slim case profile(+) Relatively less expensive compared to other Gold Nautilus(-) Asymmetric dial and hard to read dial design(-) No useful complication

Panerai Left vs Right : 557 vs 372 !
Hello all,Here's a packshot review about 2 watches that are almost identical but symmetrical twins : * Panerai PAM00372 serial N1xxx/3500 with Ted Su ammo strap* Panerai PAM00557 serial Q0xxx/700 with Attirail ammo strapWhat is similar :- same P3000 manual winding caliber- same 3-6-9-12 sandwich dial- same plexi glass with additionnal spare glass- Same golden hands - Same crown.What differs : - Case is different, not just flipped back, with specific engravings>> PAM 372 >> OP 6835 at 6 o'clock >> PAM00372 at 12 o'clock>> PAM 557 >> OP 69876 at 6 o'clock >> PAM00557 at 12 o'clock- The winding crown protector is not the same, it is in fact totally symmetrical, and not just set up reversed.
