Bell & Ross BR03 Type Aviation French Air Force Watch: For 250 Really Lucky Fighter Pilots (At First)
There are two ways that this watch was made - Note that Bell & Ross is based in France. Either the French military strong-armed Bell & Ross because they felt like bullying someone around, or Bell & Ross begged the Air Force for the PR opportunity as the military arm probably had better things to do, and was not interested in gifting a select bunch of pilots with an expensive watch. Who knows how it went?Well what ever the impetus for the creation of these Bell & Ross French Air Force watches, they are pretty neat. Basically, they are an exact melding of the traditional Bell & Ross BR01 design, mixed with the ubiquitous Breitling Aerospace (and its derivatives). It is funny because even though the Breitling Aerospace is getting close to being two decades old from first appearance - it is only now getting a serious number of homages and copycats. These are harsh words in the watch words, but they are not bad. The industry is based around a combination of reformulation
Kevin Hart AP
Saw this Conan video on the front page of youtube.I know that Kevin Hart is a huge WIS, and I usually like to see what he is wearing.I'm pretty sure it's the royal oak concept tourbillon. Definitely don't see these every day.Conan was wearing a Panerai. Here's a link to the video.https://.youtube/watch?v=1Za8BtLgKv8
Omega Speedie Pro bracelet question.
Hi all.I am a lover of fine watches and of course that includes Rolex and Omega.I want to ask the advice of this forum.I have a late 80s-early 90s 861 speedie pro and the question involves the bracelet. Do you think the 1171 bracelet is nicer than the current bracelet?I bought my Speedie from a vintage watch dealer - used - and it came with the newer style bracelet. Whilst I love the newer bracelet - it did not feel 100% right.I then bought a 1171 bracelet off ebay - very fairly priced at around 150-The speedie now has the vintage feel back - sorry if that not make sense. My question is. do other people agree with me on the 1171 bracelet being nicer than the new style.
Just another AC poll...
Which of these Patek Philippe ACs do you like the most? I have narrowed down the options of case materials and dial colors to these exact three shown on my wrist below (the 5146 is mounted with a black leather strap, despite the fact that this version normally comes with a brown one). Although I am not ready to take the 5146 out of the race yet, I am leaning more towards the other two. The new 5396G looks awesome, fresh yet classic, has the hall mark deployment clasp etc. However, the 5205G is also stunning and seems a bit easier to dress down, thus probably winning in terms of versatility. What’s your pick?
324 SC Movement - Power Reserve?
I have a watch with the 324 SC movement. Manufactured 2012 but was sealed until 2014, when I started wearing it.In the past 6 months, and once or twice in the past 2 months, the watch has stopped. I'm not sure if the reason is that I'm not wearing it enough or if there is something else stopping the movement.I wear the watch daily, putting it on around 7am and taking it off when I get home around 6 or 7pm. I usually switch to my SubC at night because I like the lume in the middle of the night.Does it make sense that from this wearing pattern of my Patek I am not getting enough wrist time to wind the watch fully? I would think 12 hours per day of wear, even in a desk job, is sufficient to keep the power reserve up. Would love to avoid sending this in for service and waiting 9 months to get the watch back...Thank you for your help.
