Since the first days of his involvement in this field, the Swiss watchmaker took part in more than 100 national and the International equestrian events and was responsible for timing much competitions such as the the World Championships, European Championships and various other events organized by the CEPA and the League of Arab States Equestrian.
Going round in circles now
Still contemplating my next purchase Gone full circle. Was originally thinking AP diver then looked again at rolex followed by Zenith now back onto AP. Tried on day/date + diver today never considered DD before but I must say I loved the balance of the dial. Anyway loved them both although both completely different watches. Thoughts welcome guys
Food, Authorized Dealers, My AP, and More...food. *PIC HEAVY*
As many of you know, I just picked up my first AP and I've been enjoying it. Here are a few snap shots from this weekend. Saturday morning was spent taking my daughter to Disney on Ice. This was my view. My wife and the other families we went with had a great timeSaturday was date night with the wife. It's hard to get out on our own these days. We started the evening at a wine bar for drinks and appetizers.Next stop was dinner. We started with drinks and escargot. And ended the evening with a 36 ounce bone in cowboy ribeye tomahawk. I was awakened by my in laws the next morning for some Korean food. They never stop trying to feed me. Are they trying to kill me?!A couple of hours later, my wife and I head to one of our favorite Indian places...for more food. Now the fun begins. Maybe because we were in a food coma, we decided to go to the mall to do some shopping...On the last Sunday before Christmas. I ended up having a great time though. I stopped by the following boutiques, Rolex, IWC
The Forged Carbon Diver (Diver Bee). 2.5 Months into ownership (a review)
It's been roughly two and a half months since I've come into owning the Forged Carbon Diver from Audemars Piguet. It's usually at the two month mark that I feel like I've really gotten to know my watches so I've become accustomed to thinking about and writing about my pieces critically at this point in my ownership (although I needed the extra two weeks or so to get my ass around to writing). This particular watch, affectionately known as the Diver Bee , has become a favorite in my collection, and below I will explain why. First, some background: This is actually my second Diver. I purchased my original Stainless Steel Diver in May of 2012. As many on this forum have come to find, it's a particularly loveable watch. The Diver lineage is one of the finest in the Audemars Piguet family. Its versatility is simply unmatched in my humble belief. I wore my Stainless Diver everywhere, and it's accumulated a few love marks in its first full year of ownership under my guise. The Forged Carbo
Breitling watch saves the life of stranded hunter
Breitling watch saves the life of stranded hunterEmergency Transmitter in Watch Alerts Alaska Rescuers to Missing Man's Location A watch made more than a fashion statement when it helped save a stranded hunter's life in Alaska on August 15th. Mark Spencer was hunting grizzly bears about 120 miles northeast of Anchorage when he became stuck in the wilderness along Susitna River in the heart of the infamous Alaska Range. Unable to navigate the hazardous Class 6 rapids of the Susitna River, his float-hunting party had diverted the course of their boat to the Tyone River. But the river route proved too shallow for their vessel. Spencer left his group and went searching for help on the glaciated Susitna River and struck a shoal tearing a hole in the vessel sinking it in the icy waters. He had spent more than 48 treacherous hours struggling for his life among the unrelenting elements of the Alaskan Backcountry. Breitling is the number one piece of equipment I always bring with me , said Spe
