In-Depth: My Thoughts On The Four Watches That Could (And Should) Break $1M At The Phillips Geneva Watch Auction
Lets get right down to it. There are four watches in Phillips upcoming sale that I believe could, and maybe even should, break $1,000,000. Two of them are from Rolex, two of them are Pateks, two of them are steel, and two of them are gold. What is perhaps even more interesting is that two of them are, in my belief, almost obvious “top lots” and two of them are slightly more under the radar. The Obvious Heavy-Hitters These first two pieces are absolutely incredible watches. They are the things that many of us dream about, and their excellence is universally appreciated by anyone that knows anything about collectible watches. Lot 214: The Rolex Oyster Cosmographer "Albino" Reference 6263 1 OF 17 From Rolex, we have a reference 6263 Daytona “Albino” that was formerly the property of some dude named Clapton. My first Breitling for my 30th.....
Well, Looks like I'm part of the Breitling Club. Today's my 30th Birthday and My parent's got me a Breitling Cockpit. I actually picked it up a couple of weeks ago and planned on it being my present to myself, but they insisted they wanted to get me something nice for me being three decades old.....so I handed it over to them....gift wrapped and all I happen to really like the watch, it's comfortable, and not one of the huge abomination's that Breitling loves to put out.I'm not big on fancy pics, and I haven't been home long enough to play with the camera. So here's a shot of it with the cell.
Salon de Genev
Any Patek lovers going to visit the Salon de Geneve? - The Geneva Auto SalonSpecifically 7th or 8th of March....I will be around geneva this time.
Sold the 126600 and went to a 114060
Did anyone else not bond with the SD43?I was very happy when I purchased the new SD43 last June but as time went on I just could never get over the fish eye and the thickness of the watch. Sold the SD43 and picked up the ND sub recently. I really enjoy the simplicity as well as it being thinner.Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
