AP Divers
Haven't posted very much to this forum, but have been reading for a while. I bought a 15202 steel last year and am thinking about adding a diver. I have been looking at the white/blue boutique only dial that launched in 2017. Apologies if this has been discussed at length before, but what is generally considered the taxonomy of desirable AP divers? The crazy colors from this year and last year seem too much to me. But what is considered the canonical example of a modern AP diver and how does something like the white/blue version fit in? Is the ceramic significantly better? Any thoughts appreciated. Two of the same watch? Am I crazy?
Two of the same watch? Am I crazy?Anyone own two of the same watch. I love my B-1 so much I am contemplating adding another one in another dial color. I could switch it up a little bit and add an Airwolf. What are your thoughts?
Nautilus or Aquanaut for first PP??
Good Day All,I am thinking about making jump to a PP soon (well hopefully this year).I am torn right now on a Nautilus 5711SS or an Aquanaut 5167SS on rubber. I currently had my AD's one and only Nautilus 5711SS on hold right now until the weekend (then I had to put some cash down). They only get 1-2 of these a year and they are scooped up right away. I love the look and the style of the 5711. They are around 6K more than an Aquanaut. The upside is the resale is way better than the Aquanaut 5167SS. Also the watch looks really good on me;I also like the Aquanaut 5167SS on rubber, My AD does not have one in stock be is getting one with the next 1-3 months and it could be mine if I want it, I like that it is a bit cheaper, Has a black dial (kind of like that better than the blue), on rubber (better for every day, I think anyway). The biggest deal for me is that PP has some nice Ladies Aquanauts that my wife likes, like the 5067. I know it is a bit crazy to have a matching watch with my wi
GMT IIC 126710BLRO vs 116710LN
I was curious to compare the differences between the case design of the new 126710BLRO vs the 116710LN.So I did some photoshopping to compare the two watches.Images are taken straight from Rolex and were not resized when I created the overlays. I would venture out and say that I can see how the BLRO lugs are a tiny bit narrower but that is really not much in my opinion.GMT COMP_Summary.pngSince I was at it, I also made a mockup of what I believe will become the 126710LN next year or the following.
