Speedy Pro chrono function slows/stops the watch
Hi Guys,My Speedmaster Pro moon watch (saphire sandwich) kinda crapped out on me this morning. I haven't worn it for a couple of days, although I kept it wound (I was rotating it with my datejust). I put it on and started the chrono function and it got to about fifteen seconds when the whole thing ground to a halt! It's fully wound and if I start it now it'll run, but cause quite a substantial amount of time loss (approx a minute or two per hour). I can see the balance wheel slows when I start the chrono, and then speeds up when I stop it.The watch is a 2009 and hasn't been serviced yet, although I probably only wear/have the momement wound for six months out of the year.My suspicion is that the lubrication is failing causing more frictional losses in the gear train, and when the chronograph starts its too much for the main spring and it slows/halts the movement.What do you all reckon? Has anyone had experience with this kind of issue before?Cheers,Duncan.

My First Patek - 3 candidates which one?
Patek fans,I have now tried 3 Pateks I fancy hands-on and I genuinely like them all. Which one should I buy?The watch will be used primarily with a suit, but versatility is a clear bonus.My current collection includes watches in the sport-dress categories: Rolex 116619 (WG), IWC Portuguese 5001-01 (YG), AP ROO Black Themes (Steel). 1. 5205R Black Dial.PROS: Simply stunning.CONS: Very dressy and flashy. Risk of being overdressed at work. Maybe slightly too small.2. 5164.PROS: Very comfortable and versatile. Great look and watch presence. GMT function.CONS: Rubber with a suit. Maybe too much the casual lifestyle watch.3. 5276 White Dial.PROS: Very beautiful and versatile. Love the moon calendar. It goes with everything. CONS: Right in between a sports watch and a dress watch. Which one should be my first Patek?

New Explorer I with Rubber B Band
I received my Explorer I yesterday. Today the Rubber B band showed up and I installed it. I now have an incognito Rolex for travel.
