Opinion The Future Of Watchmaking
Watchmakers will be be superfluous and skills will have to adapt to the multitude of different products that will permeate the market. Inevitably, monitoring mechanisms will become more complex and the skills of the watchmaker must improve to operate effectively through this world more complex and more complex.
Finally got it!!! AP 15202 has landed.
First of all thanks for all your help guys. The pictures, emails, texts, phone calls, and responses have been great and overwhelming. Esp big thanks to my boy Jrock that introduced me to this piece and really swayed me towards the Jumbo. And now, onto the pictures!!Got the package during a meeting so I was rushing through it trying to get to the unboxing! Finally sat down and started going to work on the package. And there is the box, too bad it wasn't a HUGE SE box but oh well, nice none the less.Wrapped up like a mummy... This is the first NIB AP I have ever bought and it had stickers all over the thing!!! Took me about 5 min alone to peel off all the stickers, nice that they put so much though into keeping the watch scratch free during transit. Maybe about 15 total stickers on the thing, covering EVERYTHING. Nice touch. And now to the wrist shot!! (I know the date was not set)Initial impressions - PERFECT size watch... at first I thought it might be a tad too small but it looks awes
Screw heads
Newbie question guys. Are the screwheads on the back of the AP RO meant to be facing in the same direction ? Does the fact the the slots on the screw heads are not facingg in a uniform direction mean the watch has been opened? Thanks
3 really RARE Patek pieces
The question, if you could have one of these 3.... which one would you pickAnd telling us 'WHY' you would pick the first, second or third might be interestingAs you'll see these 3 are rare but not ultra complicated.-1-The 5070 in platinumAs Always, no official number, nobody know how many they made but we know the were extremely hard to get and they were only made 6 till 12 months. It was the last of the 5070 series which was in any metal a sought after piece. The red / white / yellow were made 4 years per color. The platinum like said less than 1 year.-2-The 5711 in platinumThey made a few dozen for the boutiques but it will go into regular production. BUT it will be very limited production. How many per year? nobody knows.Nice and stealth but expensive for an entry Patek movement with no complications-3-The 5131 Enamel cloisson world timer. Already a few years in production, available in yellow or white gold. But then again, probably no more the 30 till 50 pieces per year.
Patek Philippe Digital
OKSo while reading some watch history I saw Patek made a digital.Does anyone have a pic???Know where I can find one, I could not find one.Any idea as to their value?
