Cartier Tortue XXL Multiple Time Zones Watch
Cartier, an essential name in the luxury watch world, announced a series of 2013 novelties at SIHH this year. Among the fray is the interesting and notable Tortue XXL Multiple Time Zones watch. Available in either pink or white gold, the Tortue XXL world timer offers what at first may seem like a fairly conventional GMT complication until you view the watch from its side. Along its left flank, Cartier has fitted a small window which allows the user to view a selectable range of cities and define their desired local timezone.A pusher located at two o'clock is used to cycle through the available timezones (based on the standard city) and the watch will even offer the distinction between summer and winter time by displaying a tiered layout that references the seasonal setting of both north and south hemispheres. Ariel saw the Tortue XXL in person and confirmed that the city select feature could be managed without removing the watch from your wrist. Home time is displayed on the lower sub
Breitling Aerospace F65062 questions...
I have been taken by the somewhat 'vintage' looks of this Breitling Aerospace F65062 with the 'pro' bracelet. Current asking price is $937.00, and looks in clean and very good condition (from the photos) with all original boxes and papers from original owner.I know that the watch is from 1996-2000 and is non-COSC, but same movement as later COSC. It has the 'Navy colored' dial with gold lettering, non-italic number fonts, 18k gold 15 minute markers on bezel. I am also aware of the possible moisture issues with the 'pressed-on back'.It radiates to me like an old but comfortable pair of quality made shoes, if that makes any sense. Got 'unique daily beater' written all over it.Any current/past owners have anything I should know about why I possibly should not go see (and purchase) this watch...? 5096 or 5196?
Hi,I am contemplating which of the above to get. The 5096 has a better proportioned dial and a sapphire back. It is also cheaper than the 5196. The 5196 is larger and more contemporary sized. It can also be had in R whereas the 5096 only exists in J. The downside is the solid back and off seconds hand due to the small movement. I guess I would get the 5096 if I could be sure of the size. What are your opinions?Henkan
Should I sell my 5167?
Thinking about selling my 5167I love my 5167 but I am not giving it the wrist time it needs.. I am wondering if I should sell it. I just bought a new home and had my first baby so the extra money will help.. I am torn what should I do?Btw if I do sell I am giving 1/2 the Money to my wife and the other half to invest in the mj stock sector so I can buy another one in the future..
