new seamaster in black
My first post, as I'm new to the forum...can anyone tell me if the new Seamaster with black face and bezel is only being released as a limited edition with the 007 logo, or is it going to be on general sale as a replacement for the blue face Seamaster......and I'm very glad to be here
Splotches/Marks on inner rim of steel under crystal
Hi Everyone,I recently purchased a GMT Master II from a reputable dealer I've done business with in the past - full kit - boxes, papers, great condition - really an excellent example of the 16710 pepsi bezel. It's an A serial and was purchased in 2000.One thing I noticed on a closer insepction upon receiving the watch, were some faint splotchy marks on the steel rim of the case, under the crystal, around the dial...almost looks like something has dried on that rim (though zero marks on the dial itself, which is it's normal shiny self). I'm attaching a photo which makes it seem much worse than it actually is, as I took it to highlight the issue. I was originally concerned about this, but then I took a look at a mid 90s Sub that a friend of mine had, and he also had some light splotching around the 1 o'clock mark...not as much as mine but still had some. Does anyone have any insight into this? What could be the cause for this? The dealer I purchased from said they would be happy to
Look what I found today...
Went to visit my AD to look at the jubilee bracelet on the DJ 41, since I’m on the list for the Pepsi, and have only owned oyster bracelets. He told me I’m one of 3 clients on the list... they only take people who are loyal customers. Look what he offered me next:
Where to buy your first Rolex?
Hi Guys,I'm fairly new to the forum and am really glad to be a part of it!Anyways, I was pretty sure that I would get my watch from an AD because at that time I didn't know any other options. Then I found TRF, which opened my eyes to a whole new world. I saw many great deals from our sellers in the forum and became more inclined to buy from them. As appealing as the deals may seem, I still have this strange feelings about owning a pre-owned watch even though they look perfectly like new. But again, why pay more money at ADs (including sales tax) if the watches are essentially the same. I feel like I'm overthinking about this whole thing, but just couldn't make up my mind. Has anyone encountered this dilemma before? Would you prefer to buy from ADs or trusted sellers for your VERY FIRST Rolex? Thanks!
