Eterna Royal KonTiki Chronograph GMT Watch Debuts With New Movement
For Baselworld 2015, Eterna will debut a brand new version of its in-house made Calibre 39 movement known as the Calibre 3927A. This automatic chronograph GMT holds a lot of merit and will first exist inside of the new Eterna Royal KonTiki Chronograph GMT watch. Eterna made the decision to house the new movement in a relatively wildly colored watch, and hopefully, there will be more styles available when the watch launches soon. Until then, let's check out the Eterna Royal KonTiki Chronograph GMT that looks pretty cool on paper.Eterna debuted their new in-house Calibre 39 movement here back in 2013. The movement was to serve as a base for a range of other movements. Eterna claims that the Calibre 39 can be used as the basis for "no fewer than 88 different movements." Given the watch industry's regular pandering to Chinese love of the number "8," this figure seems a bit dubious/arbitrary. I am pretty sure it is just 87 different movementsIn any event, the Calibre 39 is a great engine an
Audemars Piguet 14790ST
I have been a keen admirer of Audemars Piguet watches since I was about 16. Ten years later Ive been offered a 14790ST for what seems like a decent price. One of my good friends is selling his for ?5500 having bought it a year ago for ?6100, box and papers included. Being a genuine friend he told me he went to a few jewellers and the most he was offered for it was around ?3000. Obviously I know how below the mark they will offer as they need to make money ontop. Also I know they cost a hell of a lot to get serviced. Im not knocking anyone who was, but I wasnt born into money and have made the odd bad investment in the past, so I cant afford to lose out too much. I like the watch and Ill hold onto it for years to come. In your opinion is this a good price and will I be disappointed when I decide to sell on further down the line. Thanks in advance.
What's not to like....?

Why I love my GMT
I bought the Omega GMT as a cheaper alternative to the GMT Master and I still hope I will own a GMT Master (old style) before I die, but I have been very pleased with the SmP GMT and at the risk of boring you guys, here is what I like about it's design. But first a picture or two. (Oh no, not again you say). Now why I like the watchIt's pure function over design:- Oversized markers on a black backround are very easy to see in poor lighting conditions- Layers of Superluminova make night vision easy- The 24 Hr hand is red making it easy to see the 2nd timezone at a glance- Boxed date lead the eye quickly to the date function- Oversized military style hands - again easy to see in all lights and no light- Two tone bezel is not essential but gives a quick estimate of night and night- Crown is deeply recessed for protection and the bracelet is nice, but not flashy.- Non hacking adjustable hour hand and a bezel for a third time zone make this a real GMTWhat traveller would want more? Now, why
