Mhle Glashtte SAR Rescue-Timer Review
For those of us that love watches, Glashtte has special meaning. This small town in Germany contains a few of the greatest watch brands currently in operation, brands that seem to achieve horological feats that other brands worldwide can't quite compete with. On one hand, you have a brand like A. Lange & Sohne making some of the most epically complicated, finished and expensive luxury watches, and on the other you have Nomos, who make the most accessibly priced watches with manufacture movements. And while these brands, and one or two others, might get the most attention of those in Glashutte, there are several others there that also go above and beyond to create exceptional timepieces. One brand that we here at worn&wound have always enjoyed, but seems to go under the radar, is Nautische Instrumente Mhle-Glashtte more commonly referred to as just Mhle.Mhle has a very long history as a manufacturer and as a family in the region, having been in one form or another for 5 ge
AP 15400 or IWC 7 day automatic?
Curious about the overall quality of both watches - reliability, value, comfort, ownership experience, horology quotient. Any thoughts on which is a better movement and more desirable watch? They are very different but at the same time, the movements appeal to me. Thoughts on which way to go on this one?
GSOTM in the flesh!
Well colour me surprised! Walking past an omega boutique I look in the window and staring back at me is a grey side of the moon! I didn't think they were available until next year but lo and behold there it was. As a DSOTM owner of course I had to go in and try it on. It is much more silvery and shiny than the pictures give away, very metallic looking. It's very pretty and the leather strap works extremely well with the watch. In fact I am hoping they release a black croc for the DSOTM. It took all my will power not to buy it there and then. I think two of the same model is excessive for me!Now do I prefer the GSOTM to the DSOTM?? Not sure is my answer right now. I think you cannot go wrong with either. Please enjoy some of the pictures! Anyone else bothered by someone elses name on warranty card?
Just picked up a 114060. Can't see myself ever giving this guy up. I bought it grey market 2 months old (nov 2017). It hurts me inside a little bit knowing that my name isn't on the cardIn a sense it makes me feel like it will never be my watch.Does anyone else get bugged out by this? Or am I just being insane lolSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
