Antiquorum's Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces auction held on Sunday, May 12th at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Geneva, headlined by a selection of vintage Rolex Daytona watches commemorating that model’s 50th anniversary, and set two new world records, including the highest ever sale price for a Daytona at auction.The auction featured a total of 518 carefully curated timepieces and drew bidders from around the world, notably from China, Hong Kong, Italy, the United States and Switzerland. Once again, it was a Patek Philippe that commended the top price at the sale, in this case a Patek Philippe Ref. 5002 Sky Moon Tourbillon in rose gold with special order case (lot 225). A unique piece with 12 complications, the watch was sold to an on-site bidder for the eye-opening price of CHF 1,202,500. Daytona 116515 Worth the price?
Hello all...Have come across 1 my fave watches of all time second hand in a high end watch retailer...It is a 2012 daytonaC rose gold with box and papersAnd is going for ��16450. I may be able to get it for 16k.Do you guys think this is a good second hand price? I know depends on condition but im guessing its 9/10 minimum as all their watches are top quality. How much do tou guys think i would lose on that if god forbid 1 day i had to sell it?Cheers pic below

Had to briefly relate my recent interaction with Rolexbrah(Jay) - he recently replied via PM to my post concerning a watch I've been hunting. He briefly outlined a AD had such watch & proceeded to advise contact details, etc. I contacted the AD and secured the watch over a few texts and phone call. Jay clearly could have kept this info. to himself but he provided the info. to a fellow member - I am very appreciative of his candor & insight. In my opinion, this is the quintessential reason to be a member of TRF - to share ideas with likeminded enthusiasts.I look forward to future interaction with Rolexbrah & his contribution to the forum!
