Sanity Check - Anyone own more than 1 Royal Oak?
I currently have a 15450 white dial and strongly considering adding a 15202. Don't plan on flipping the 15450 just enjoy it too much. So anyone else own more than one such as a Jumbo and conventional Royal Oak or same model RO but different colors? Or will I be the only nut out there? Thanks All -
Breitling Superocean Heritage 46mm in Black or Blue
I am looking forward to buying the above watch but I can't decide on the color. Most of my dive watches are in black. So far, I only own a blue dive watch. Black just sings to me and more versatile. But, black is boring and I have so many watches with black dial already. Blue will be more interesting, but it is more casual. In addition, the original Breitling Superocean Heritage was only in black, so black is more of an accurate reissue. I am definitely getting this watch with the mesh bracelet. I need to hear your opinion please? Thanks. Merry Christmas everyone!
First Patek - 5726A 5712A or 5711
Need advice from Patek aficionados:So I am in the market for two new watches. Flipping some useless Jewelry into exemplary horological pieces. Currently my budget allows:The first watch is the AP 26320ST blue dialThe second watch will most likely be a Patek. I am debating between the 5726A or the 5712A blue dial. I also like the 5711 well for its simplicity. A little information about myself, I am 6'2, 220lbs, Asian who work as an investor/entrepreneur/community organiser. So the time for a really beautiful dress watch has yet to come. __________________________________________________ _________________________________Current collection:Rolex GMT 16170 Coke dial Rolex 116519 WG Daytona black dial on black leather strap Rolex TT YM2Rolex DSSD D-blue
Time to buy non-rolex watch
Hello TRFI have been looking at Patek and AP for the last months and reading a lot here and where i could find inspiration. I really like wearing gold (rolex GMT) and i'm drawn in that direction again, no matter what its not going to be a daily driver. I'm not into advanced complications and travel with my SD4000. Have narroved it down to:5711 rose gold (aprox 50k USD)AP 15400 rose gold (aprox 35k USD)And perhaps5711 Steel (aprox 35k USD)The Price for the PP rose gold seems fine compared to the steel version. The AP is nice but not a PP and will perhaps leave an itch un-scratched...Any thougts, pointers, suggestions is appreciatet. RegardsAlexanderRegardsAlexander116718LN GN, 116600, 116200, 116610LV
Quandary
I am in a bit of a quandary on what to do about a potential watch swap. I know this is not the vintage side put I would like to field for a opinions over here because I am not typically a vintage watch guy.Several years ago my father whom is still around gave his late 70's Submariner 5513 to my brother who has since passed. The watch went to my young niece who has no interest in it other than it was her dads and she knows I'm nuts about it.I now have the opportunity to put it into my collection. It should be a for a fair price is all original has box and papers with a very certain history. Now the question. What are your thoughts on selling my 14060M no box and papers to partially fund it? I generally don't like to fund a watch with a watch but i really don't need or desire to have two such similar watches. My current collection is the 14060M, 92 GMT Master 2 Pepsi, Ceramic Daytona, Explorer 39, and Speedmaster Pro. So I do have modern pieces and transitional. I have never owned a plas
